We have received an astronomical amount of snow. The fact the roads are still passable is a feat in and of itself. Not many cities in ontario could cope with the amount of snow we've received. Everyone is doing a great job!
I think this can be done at the local level (i.e. parents)... children should be growing up with 0 expectation of privacy on all online devices. You don't have any anyways, it might as well start with the parents monitoring the usage. No "alone" time online, whether that's physically watching or using one of many available apps to monitor this.
"Fix the roads! Fix the roads!"...road fixing commences..."Not this road!! Not right now!! Do it at night!! Do it in the winter!!"...road fixing costs double..."Why are they raising taxes!? Why don't they fix the roads?!"
Congratulations - sootoday's clever hook writing claims another victim (which is their point exactly)It's too bad the point was missed... sorry to say but yours is moot.
@Lovethenorth, sootoday isn't as successful as it is because of boring, non-click-bait headlines.I agree, it's silly - but it's not free to provide this service. Maybe they should make that an option for paid subscribers - alternative "normal" headlines. Ha
Theres been lots of settling but I've got 55cm just measured on an unshoveled part of deck. It varys widely though. There were parts of Goulais with grass still yesterday!
2009 was the last full airshow they did at the airport...and yes, the traffic was nuts!!!Although they didn't do a full show this time, it was still amazing and allowed many thousands to easily see them this time!
The only downside is they're not able to do a full aerobatics display downtown due to safety rules. I'm not sure what the solution could be for next time for the traffic. Regardless, it was still a great non-aerobatic show and even better that so many people could get to see them much easier than back in 2009.
Yeah hopefully they don't touch it - warmer lake temps will make for the possibility of much worse lake effect snow events, Christmas 2022 a prime example. You seem to be right about approx every 10 years, record warmth last year broke the record from 2010, things are trending up. "With the exceptions of 2014 and 2022, average winter temperatures have remained above the baseline average since 1996."source - search for: "Climate Trends and Variations Bulletin - Winter 2023/2024"
Not 100% false, but like everything else, attrition playing a huge role. They've been talking about this for decades!! Teachers are hanging on a bit longer because it's a job that people can typically stay in longer before retiring vs physically demanding jobs - but this is happening everywhere/in all fields.
This is typically the case with all liability waivers, it's just not usually specifically mentioned. A liability waiver doesn't allow a party to be negligent.
