We have received an astronomical amount of snow. The fact the roads are still passable is a feat in and of itself. Not many cities in ontario could cope with the amount of snow we've received. Everyone is doing a great job!
I think this can be done at the local level (i.e. parents)... children should be growing up with 0 expectation of privacy on all online devices. You don't have any anyways, it might as well start with the parents monitoring the usage. No "alone" time online, whether that's physically watching or using one of many available apps to monitor this.
Having the sewage treated versus leeching into the ground (septic) sounds like an improvement. It's good for everyone to be involved though! Hoping for clear and concise answers and for people to listen to experts on the matter.
What are you suggesting? Don't fix roads so we fan save tax $?How the lanes are painted is pretty secondary to that. And arguably this will save wear and tear, as discussed in the article. Arguing bike lanes are dumb (which they may be) has nothing to do with taxes. Also - we have a chronic speeding issue in this city. Traffic calming measures are not always bad.
"Fix the roads! Fix the roads!"...road fixing commences..."Not this road!! Not right now!! Do it at night!! Do it in the winter!!"...road fixing costs double..."Why are they raising taxes!? Why don't they fix the roads?!"
Before all the comments come pouring in that won't be taken into account, take 5 minutes to respond to the official poll the city has out:https://www.publicinput.ca/y63107
Hey hockey04..The $10/day childcare is huge. It's allowing many people to be able to go to work when it used to not make sense to. More tax revenue and contribution to GDP. The new dental plan? Also pays dividends in that people are going to the dentist for preventative care versus showing up at the ER when things get to that point. These two examples will take years to show the benefit, but it's there (and pretty common sense in my opinion).
15 second Google search but oh well here ya go..705-949-3227https://saultstemarie.ca/Government/City-Departments/Community-Development-Enterprise-Services/Community-Services/Transit/Parking/Enforcement.aspx
