‘Not the right time’: Doug Ford promises to sell private jet
57
I realize that we are talking a provincial politics here but if you mentioned insensitive. I'm guessing you don't realize that our friend in Ottawa has racked up over half a million dollars on airline food catering since he took office and that doesn't count the cost of the flights. Now that's insensitive.

Matt1979. The likes of Carney, Gerald B., Telford have been advisors to Trudeau along with many in his cabinet over the last nearly 10 years. A period that has seen more ethics breaches, lies, investigations, fiscal irresponsibility and a doubling of the countries debt, housing costs, and ridiculous inflation than has ever been seen in the history of this country. By the sound of it you are willing to vote for a person who was advisor to the man that has caused all the chaos. You either have a short memory or have been misinformed.

That's quite an opinion😁

We can only hope.

Agree with diversifying trade. It's been far too long without. Anything else in his speech was just stating the obvious with far more words than required.

Happening north of the border too.

There's a number of outfits in Toronto that will charter an executive jet for quick in out flights in North America. Let someone else pay for the jet, hire and pay pilots, plus benefits and pensions, fuel it up, insure and keep the maintenance and oil changes up to date.

That coupled with ridiculous govt. spending.

Canadian Beaver. You brought up the federally provincially stuff. Want a lesson? How's half a million in airline food in less than a year. That amount does not included the airfare. Classic dismissed!

Retreaded; Absolutely!

Shrink the deficit by 53.2 billion by 2030-3? Our annual interest payments on the countries debt is that much. A billion a week. Spend "billions" convincing young Canadian to enter into trades? That better be for more than convincing. The windfall they've made from higher fuel prices is already being spent. Is this fiscal responsibility?

Not a fan of Carney but did you ever notice where most of the items sold in stores originate? We've been dealing with China on a huge scale for years.

That's quite the spin!

Watch and listen to: Warren Buffet "How Angry are Canadians Really" on youtube. https://youtu.be/xq12STn917Q?si=k-jXPFpxluxUUN6VPeople on either side of the border could benefit.

Ford dropped the 25% extra charge on hydro to the states after gaining a meeting with Lutnick. I'm guessing it will be back on shortly after the meeting considering who they are dealing with. To one of your commenters. Ford did not shut the hydro down. He only added a 25% extra charge. All in the 3 states will survive.

And they've got the nerve to ask for more money for the plaza. Out of touch with reality! Unacceptable

Seems to be a lot of that going around. Paikin is part of the media steering committee working for the current regime. Trump bashing certainly takes the focus off the ridiculous results produced over the last 11 years that has brought us to the deplorable state that we are in currently. My choice of aircraft would be the Grippin in light of its versatility and availabilty in cold climate situations job creation, improving our tech industry, plus we would not have to rely on the USA for software. Trump won't be there forever. Just need to minimize the damage he will try to do and hope that their next regime is not as far right as the current.

Ein stein; I can't stomach Trump but Canada was in free fall before his unfortunate second term. We could have been in far better shape than we were before Trump arrived if we hadn't gone down the ridiculous liberal fiscally irresponsible rabbit hole. Use the wealth that we should have made from fossil fuel movement to pay for a viable, environmental, green plan.
