Wow , What are these councilors thinking! They spend our tax dollars like a rock star! I voted my councilor in to listen to the taxpayer and not chase their personal dreams! What a shame!
Must be an election year! Both of these councilors do nothing for the residents of thier wards , always the same grandstanding with hollow promises! See what we can do is thier standard answer for all concerns from the taxpayers! Try following up on the what the taxpayers are saying before dreaming up more!
It is obvious that habitual speeders are not liking getting called out for their lawless behaviour. If people would only obey the laws that are there for the protection of all citizens then there would be no need for this kind of destruction of public funded property. Typical mentality of the selfish ones that think only of themselves. Negative comments always come from the guilty.
Odd how it is not the "old people" that are recklessly speeding through red lights and residential neighborhoods and not the cause of the record number of collisions.
Come On Now! , The real reason for all these collisions ---- not accidents , is plain and simple ---The reckless speeding and general driving habits of Sault drivers! It is a city wide problem that does not get addressed by Police enforcement and no care attitude of our elected officials at city hall! Tried every avenue from the Mayor to Council to Police chief and got all the same no response or care attitude to deal with speeders on my residential street! Due to the lack of care of City officials the drivers are just getting more reckless!
Telling Sault drivers to slow down is a joke! The reckless no care driving habits in the Sault on residential streets is going to continue regardless of how many potholes! If potholes were the answer to get some saftey on residential streets then leave them!
About time! All I see is the habitial speeders complaining in these comments. In the east-end it is a race to see who can get to Pino's or Tim's first. Total disregard for the residents and pedestrians. It is always the same people racing down Shannon and Irwin to get there 1 minute faster. If you speed through their neighborhood , they are the first ones to complain. You can go across town doing the speed limit in ten minutes. Increase the fines --- hit them where it hurts.
It is fair to say that the majority of Sault drivers are reckless speeders and without any enforcement then they are just more empowered! I do not expect the police to be everywhere but it would be nice if they were at least somewhere! Have not seen a speeder pulled over in a very long time!
Time for some new people at the council table that have the interests of the aging fixed income taxpayers in mind! Enough of the waste on projects that are unpopular! The present council spends like a rock star!
Finally a worthwhile investment that is long overdue in the Sault! The Sault does not need to be recognized for another top 10 negative habit city! I just feel bad for the body shops that will lose if we ever enforce the legal limit on city streets!
Totally understand that breakdowns happen at the most inconvenient times. I have to believe that repair contractors have looked at the issue and formulated a plan for repairs. It would be total neglect on the homes part to not immediately have it is looked at. The issue I have is with the lack of communication to the families of the residents affected. A reassuring word from management would go a long way in this unfortunate situation.
Someone had to fall on the sword! Don 't think it will make much of a difference though. The taxpayers money will be chasing a dream! No confidence in bailing out this money pit!
What a joke! Another sad day for Sault Ste Marie. It would seem that the majority of taxpayers support this councilor. Once again ashamed of our local elected officials.
Really! Reduce all the limits they want , it will not change anything. With out proper ENFORCEMENT the same driving mentality in this city will not change. This is getting to be a stale issue , come up with some real solutions and listen to the taxpayers!
Really! I have to live on a budget to keep my house in order. This city is spending like rock stars only they are not the ones earning it! Totally out of control spending of taxpayers money! Give the citizens a break!
