Who started the threats and tariffs first? Not Canada. The uncertainty is exactly why we should be diversifying, and it's why the rest of the USA's longstanding allies are doing the same.
I'm sure the loudest narrative will be that hospitals are wasteful and should cut back spending, but when it's happening across the province (and not just in healthcare... look at education) then I hope we can realize that the government is underfunding these institutions on purpose. Not only that, but we are being pushed towards privatized options.Whether you believe it's ultimately the fed or province's fault, I don't care to argue about that. We should be contacting our MPPs and MPs to demand better funding for our public institutions.
Still pretending he's part of the PC government. Last time we heard from him on the topic, he was blaming the hospital for top-heavy management. This same thing is happening across the province. It's not the hospitals, it's the lack of funding!
If you walk by during the week, they are working in there every day. Not sure what they're doing, but GIP/GFL has been working in there basically since the sale was announced. Perhaps lots to clear out and remediate before demo can happen?
Education, healthcare, the judicial system - all drastically underfunded. We're seeing issues because of that, and it's pushing opinion towards privatizing our institutions.
It is INSANE that this government has successfully gutted public healthcare funding, and now is successfully pushing the narrative that it is somehow the fault of locals? Are we really so gullible? Here's a thought experiment: you cut SAH's ten top earners salaries by 50% (which is not even possible) and you save what? $500,000? And yes those top earners include highly skilled doctors. That pales in comparison to the SAH budget and the amount of money this government has clawed away from the public and funnelled to its private buddies.Yes of course the CEO is making a lot of money, but look at the bigger picture. Has Scott ever said anything that doesn't divide people? All of this hurts to read
@Brayden Thomas You should acknowledge that you're including the pay of many doctors in your '3 million' figure. I don't necessarily agree with raises for CEOs, and of course I will always agree that the working class should be paid more — but for Scott to squarely place the blame on local "execs" when his government has worked *against* public health is gross. This guy is planted here from out of town and criticizes everything and everyone he comes in contact with instead of lobbying his own government for better local outcomes as he is elected to do.
