LETTER: Latest police investigation a witch hunt: former chief
TBNewsWatch

There you have it! This is, as close as you'll get for first person information. The former Chief of Police is stating what most citizens are aware of. Hopefully something like this is what gets the ball rolling, so we can once and for all call out those who choose to divide our community for their personal gain. The police service like any, is already under immense scrutiny and pressure without the challenges of this sort of "witch hunt". I am personally more concerned with and interested in, solving crimes and cleaning up the drug trade and the illicit activity it brings.

What are these unfortunate folks going to do if wild fires pick up and there's a fire ban? The government and the MNR really need to take that into consideration when implementing the bans going forward. Mother nature could really start to impede on human rights. I'd like to hear what councilor Chng has to say on the matter.

Well..... welcome to Thunder Bay, yup that sounds about right. Walmart parking lot and everything. I can just imagine the euphoria the gremlins had when they landed that big score. Good job Chris, finding the items and recovering them. The black eye was already there when you intervened, but it's nice to know, things were kept in check. Good luck on part two of the journey.

I mean given the current political and economical situation brought on by current USA administration, whybwould you want to spend dollars in a country who is litterally out to do harm to ours ?

So his terms are all being served concurrently, he's credited for nearly 6 years, 8 years is the longest sentence so he's got just around 2 years to go? Out sooner with good behavior Yada Yada back to lending a hand and contributing to the community by Christmas 2025 ?

Yup, good one. Please Thunder Bay, continue the course and ignore the business owners and residents of the area. I can't wait for this plan to turn into the disaster we all know it will be

The headline would then read, "SIU investigating 2 officers, allegedly used excessive force". And it would be all over the TV and news and we would all gasp and say " they all think the law doesn't apply to them"

Seems silly, a little wrastling between bros. And now in court ? Well I'll be. I must be an old soul living in a new world. Might be time to come to terms with that fact. Either way it's a terrible way to tie up the courts, you would think they need all the time they can get with drugs guns predators and organized criminals

Yes allegedly someone pushed the boy into the water, but did he bang his head, could he not swim, did he lose consciousness, why was he airlifted to london. I think this is what chippie is referring to when they elude to better reporting. Maybe share the news, you know ?

Bad religion guy - that's not true! I am willing too wager none of these folks are a product of the covid 19 down turn. Plenty of systems were put into place to protect those from losing income and homes. Were still paying for it today and will.for a very long time. These folks are out there because they are provided the ability to be there by programs assisting with the resources to sustain this

You misspelled irresponsible. And you should probably look into the definition of investment.

Endorsing violence by using your purse or water bottle as a weapon is so irresponsible. Perhaps a better approach would be de-escalate an attacker by communicating with them yes use your voice and words, try to understand why they are attacking you, maybe they are hungry and want your sandwich or money to buy a sandwich. Isn't it better to give someone a sandwich then hit them with a water bottle? I believe everyone has a right to be safe, we should always consider people's basic human rights.

This guy is missing something. What a dumb choice. Doesn't seem like he cares much. Now they should keep him where he belongs. Transfer him farbaway to serve the remainder of his full sentence, plus time for DUI while on parole and the violations
25
The only reason this is still taking place anywhere in canada is because it is being enabled to happen. Plain and simple if you want to help these folks off the street, start by taking them off the street. Giving heaters tents clothing survival gear only keeps them out in the cold
