Reasons not to go downtown !. Locked stores2. Risk of being accosted by a significant amount of the citizenry3. Visible needles, urine, excrement and other repulsive deposits5. Prolonged exposure as a result of speed limit reduction

Given Ross Romano's mediocre record of getting what SSM needs Chris Scott as his chief of staff hasn't got much to brag about

I don't know what the steelworker said, and while I support his right to say it his refusal to shake hands makes him an individual who was not taught manners or haw to be a classy person

If only Doug Ford believed in democracy

Terry Sheehan couldn't/wouldn't save us from "catch and release", so excuse me if I don't believe he will save Canadian jobs from tariffs.

Ford can't figure out a way for his cronies to make money off this issue. Until he does, nothing will happen

Ford figures that if he breaks the present system badly enough there will be enough suckers (ie Conservative voters) that he will be able to get private (for profit) health care to further enrich his supporters in the health care field.

When/if an agreement is reached perhaps an OPSEU member would be kind enough to show Doug Ford how to flip a hamburger. No, I am not an OPSEU member or related to any OPSEU member.

Undoubtedly Vic Fidelli was tasked with genuflecting and kissing the Trumpsters ring on behalf of Doug Ford

You mean that in this all inclusive city a significant portion of the citizens are forgotten. What a shock!

In my opinion a business is an entity that keeps its doors open by bringing in more money than it puts out....eg SOO BLASTER or Tenaris. An entity that is able to get funds from other than profit is not a business. It may be a valuable organization providing a valuable service, but it is not a business

Our C.A.O. advocated for the downtown Plaza. It came in way over budget. Our C.A.O. is advocating for this bailout of possibly inept YMCA decision makers. If this bailout costs significantly more than $550,000 our CAO will have joined the league of the possibly inept. In either case taxpayers deserve better

To me this is just one more reason to not go anywhere near Queen street. Therefore this news falls under the category of "Who cares?"

Perhaps the city could consider removing whatever number of plaques that remain throughout the city and giving them a place of honour inside city hall or memorial gardens. These plaques could be replaced at the outdoor locations with acrylic plaques

Prime minister Carney is working for Canada. Pierre Poilievre , who was identified as a loser by voters in his own riding and soundly rejected him, has convinced his sycophants to keep on whining. If you voted for Pierre it's about time you admitted you are supporting a loser and stopped whining.
