Most people in the Soo have ZERO IDEA of what Lisa has done and continues to do, day in and day out, to make our community better, particularly for those individuals who often fall through the cracks. She's given more of herself in the past 8 years than most, by far.

Honest question, has the SSMPS ever posted a surplus? Seems like every year they're in a deficit situation and asking for a budget increase for the subsequent fiscal year.

10 years ago, yes, safe. Today, not safe. And why are 101 criminals accounting for the majority of the index shift? Simple answer...

Did Terry hit "send" on this press release while gorging himself at the Marconi buffet?

Um, fat chance obtaining provincial funding for this port project, not with Algoma Steel going down the tubes. If you manage to grab an ear, use your time wisely to demand more funding for health care.

The only businesses that succeed in the downtown are legal firms, go figure.

Lisa does more in a day for the benefit of other people in our community than you've ever done, period.

Just put a piece of tape over his name and phone number and, VOILA. Free sign, that's about all you'll get from this Liberal gov't if you're a "middle class" working citizen.

This is a ridiculous figure, $360K. A modern, integrated system can be supplied for way, way less than that given the technologies available today.

Honest question here, what are the perceived benefits of removing this set of traffic lights? They took the traffic and pedestrian lights away from the intersection of Queen/Church, and although traffic does flow rather smoothly there now, it's a death wish if trying to cross Queen in either direction as a pedestrian.

I understand that Algoma Steel is >70% owned by American institutional investors. But why, as a Canadian company, is Algoma Steel the importer of record for shipments into the US?Can someone explain this situation? Normally, the importer of record is the customer, not the producer/vendor.

Why wasn't the Liberal leader's visit to the Soo announced to the public prior to this morning?

Ya, he's "reflecting" by staring in the mirror and reciting, "I'm good enough, I'm smart enough, and dog-gonnit, people like me."

The MNR has no idea of the moose population, their survey work has been unreliable for decades.

Whether the downtown core is safe, or not, if people don't feel safe, they won't go, thats number 1. So, why don't people feel safe? Um, 1) public drug use, all over the place, at all hours of the day, 2) accumulation of drug use paraphernalia everywhere you look, 3) people blitzed out of their minds, staggering around, yelling gibberish, begging for money and often aggressively, 4) a general attitude among the law-abiding, taxpaying public that the city and/or the police aren't doing anything to resolve the aforementioned issues and, of course 5) having to pay for parking.
