Most people in the Soo have ZERO IDEA of what Lisa has done and continues to do, day in and day out, to make our community better, particularly for those individuals who often fall through the cracks. She's given more of herself in the past 8 years than most, by far.

Honest question here, what are the perceived benefits of removing this set of traffic lights? They took the traffic and pedestrian lights away from the intersection of Queen/Church, and although traffic does flow rather smoothly there now, it's a death wish if trying to cross Queen in either direction as a pedestrian.
I understand that Algoma Steel is >70% owned by American institutional investors.But why, as a Canadian company, is Algoma Steel the importer of record for shipments into the US?Can someone explain this situation? Normally, the importer of record is the customer, not the producer/vendor.
Whether the downtown core is safe, or not, if people don't feel safe, they won't go, thats number 1. So, why don't people feel safe? Um, 1) public drug use, all over the place, at all hours of the day, 2) accumulation of drug use paraphernalia everywhere you look, 3) people blitzed out of their minds, staggering around, yelling gibberish, begging for money and often aggressively, 4) a general attitude among the law-abiding, taxpaying public that the city and/or the police aren't doing anything to resolve the aforementioned issues and, of course 5) having to pay for parking.
