Just an FYI to city council, COVID didn’t kill Canada Day attendance, you did with your cancellation of fireworks because they are offensive? Didn’t really get the true meaning of how fireworks are offensive but here we are

How about no village at all? This is a terrible idea

Hard to feel super happy about a retired CEO winning that amount of money. Hopefully he pays it forward and some ends up going to charity

Everyone is upset about the new parking rates, businesses and citizens alike. Good job city council

Haha. “Investment”

Good luck with that. Countless other causes more worthy of having funds donated to than an overpriced art gallery

Well said Andrew. Not a good location. Dont let this site be strong armed into Current River. The only reason the other site didn’t go ahead was pushback from the business community. It’s clear their opinion matters more than the citizens of this city

Despicable action from the school board, if their lawyers have this much free time on their hands maybe it’s time to rethink how much of our tax money is going towards their legal department

Things like this come out any people wonder why nobody trusts the police. Even worse is the statement “The hearings never took place because of her retirement”. The police should still be investigated after retirement and held criminally responsible for their actions if required.

So does this mean they will rewrite the bylaws that require how owners to cut their grass?

Without fireworks Canada Day is now a shell of what it used to be. Sad for the kids

The cost of living crisis in this country is an emergency. The fact that 100 people can’t get their lives in order and get off the street may be an emergency for them, but it’s not an emergency for the city. There are so many supports for people to get a helping hand that it seems like some people don’t treat their own situation in life as an emergency. We shouldn’t reorganize society because some people don’t want to participate in it by working and having their own stable housing

100% Correct. Don’t put a dime into that area until ownership is finalized
