You don't have to spend money just on the majority of people. You can do both.

I see many people using them when I ride that stretch of road. And I do that at least 5 days a week. This is not a small interest group. It promotes healthy activities, social interactions and fresh air. It doesn't take away from cars using that stretch of road. When was the last time you saw a traffic jam in that area? 1980? Pedestrians also use the extra wide path on the south side of queen st. Not sure what you are upset about. Bike lanes, and the Hub Trail have enhanced this city, not burdened it, and far more than a small interest group enjoy the benefits.
