Toxic drug alert issued in Thunder Bay

"The clinic advised drug users to take their drugs to Path 525 for testing before ingesting." The amount of enabling of drug users we offer in Canada is nauseating.

Staff and council should acknowledge that citizens do not want this travesty. Not at Kam River Heritage Park, not anywhere!

Just more gibberish from a guy who has helped Trudeau run Canada into the ground since 2019.

I link the spike to our hug-a-thug criminal justice system. Alcohol is sold in convenience stores the world over, yet you don’t see places like Singapore, Taiwan or South Korea have such issues. Why? Because actions have consequences there.

The sooner we get rid of Trudeau and the Liberals, the sooner we can start digging our way out of the massive hole they have put Canada into.

The TV report on this story stated that this was supposed to be a low income housing project but will now, at least in part, be housing for the mentally ill and drug addicts. I believe that is what the real issue is and I don't blame the residents for being concerned.

So 44% are couples. You're telling me that 2 incomes would not be enough to pay rent? But I guess in order to have incomes, you first need to look for jobs.

An 18.8% pay increase for the hospital CEO? What in the ..... ! Did the hospital run 18.8% smoother? Did wait times decrease by 18.8%?

So they (maybe) will pay “rent” with money they receive from taxpayers. That’s some first class mental gymnastics right there.

Never again! Never had heart issues until I took all of that mRNA garbage.

Let’s hope Ford immediately uses the notwithstanding clause and puts an end to this radical pro drug abuse activism.

Just because senior levels of government are offering money, doesn’t mean something is a good idea. Regardless of the level of funding support, council should have rejected the idea of a “shelter village”, no matter where in Thunder Bay it was to be located.

Ideally, the project should be shut down. But since our council is addicted to spending money we don’t have, not a single Dollar should be released until a forensic audit has been completed. Without a doubt, there has been incompetent planning. But has there also been fraud? I’d like to know.

Of course he wants prorogation and a new leader. That's the only way we won't have an election before the scheduled date in October and it's the only way his pension will vest.

I have a better idea. Let’s not give any subsidies to anything. Let the best products and ideas win the day, without government picking winners and losers.

The more we have enabled this lifestyle, the worse things have become. It's plain as day that the "human rights" approach has had catastrophic consequences. It's time for a common sense tough love approach to the problem. I hope mayors with make the right choices.

I think you’ll find that the people you say are not compassionate care deeply about this community. We are simply frustrated with seeing our hard earned dollars confiscated by governments year after year only for it to be used to reward bad behaviour by giving it to people who contribute nothing and only take, take, take. This enablement culture you seem to support is why Thunder Bay is a drug and crime infested former shadow of its beautiful self. We want a return to a Thunder Bay the way it was before the rampant growth of the drug use & poverty industrial complex.

Thanks, but I’m still not going to the US unless I have a really good reason.

Don’t build it at all. Then there is no budget to worry about.

We can't get rid of this Liberal/NDP government fast enough. I sincerely hope both Powlowski and Hajdu will be voted out, if the latter even runs again. After all, her gold plated pension is already secure.
