New Champlain Monument design on council agenda Monday

Spending any amount of money on the statue is totally neglectful and shameful when Orillia has poor infrastructure support for roads, snow removal, sewer issues, lacking social programs. Council members who support this are out of touch with the community. Please use common sense.

Driving over bridge on West ST and highway 11, I just saw an elderly lady in a motorized scooter with groceries having to drive in the car lanes as the sidewalks are totally impassable. How sad, terrible and dangerous for her. THIS should not be happening. And article says "we have enough staff" Maybe some of the City and Council members should try to drive a scooter around town.

If they had a car i am sure they wouldn’t be driving a scooter, not everyone is that lucky or financially able and people do the best they can.

Pretty easy to put on at Tudhoe park near water , plenty of room, get rid of the totally useless frisbee golf cages.its time city elected council listens to residents. .

That is great news for the community, lets hope the TEAM is available after 5pm into the evenings and on weekends and the TEAM works in partnership with local social service agencies that can provide additional follow up support.

Where on the agenda is pay parking for visitors at our waterfront like promised earlier in fall?? Also social service agencies should not get isolated operational dollars without clear metrics and outcomes that contribute to the many issues plaguing the city. Funding needs to be tied to collaboration and capacity building with other agencies. One time funding needs to be coordinated into the system not in isolation that support the siloed supports.
