They can't produce enough steel to meet their needs on their own. They have been down this road before. This guy is out of his mind if he thinks this is making America great in any way!
7% over 3 years is not a great deal! Hope the lost wages for the 16 day strike feels like it was worth it! 2%,2%,3%? It will take 2 years to make up lost wages for a full time employee. People knew to stock up or find alternative options so the only people paying the price was the workers! Hope the strike pay made you learn what bitter sweet tastes like!
Any retired steel workers or from one of many contributing companies to the mill still crossing should be ashamed! Sault Michigan stereotypes us a person with a turkey under one arm and a gallon of milk under the other at the gas station. I find that offensive and would rather support out local farmers and economy.
Finger prints, mug shots and phone inspections! Nice way to welcome the neighbors that supported you all these years! No thanks! I support the steel, aluminum, copper and natural resources industries being targeted by our "friends" and will stay home!
Participating in a group chat while a council meeting is taking place is a distraction and shows you aren't totally paying attention to what is being discussed. We need proper decorum and council should show some restraint. Proper etiquette should be upheld and group chats should take place before or after an official council meeting. A council meeting is just not the time or place to be texting on your phone! This should be common sense. Councilors are behaving the same way as what brought on a cellphone ban in classrooms. They should show some professionalism and do their job that they were elected to do.
At least give relief on the interest and possibly some of the taxes. She should have gotten this done privately absolutely. Never think the city will do anything for free. They had to do all the work with sourcing contractors for the job. There was a cheaper alternative available. The justice system shows more leniency to criminals than the city does to this good standing citizen.
I've actually noticed an increase in american license plates recently. I still have no desire to visit the u.s. The military parade was a flop! That says something!
Why do I have to swerve to follow a lane? Northern Ave and top of St. George's Ave come to mind.. Our "city planners" are getting a failing grade from me! They aren't done yet.. The underpass on is the next disaster. Steelton area was also poorly thought out
The Canadian PM talks with our best interests in mind. US president is ungrateful and blind to Canada's contribution to its economy! He is a conman and has no business being in office.
The river pool would be wonderful for kids! Give them another place to swim inside city limits! The rest if the "park features" could be toned down. Make the pool the destination
When Steven Harper visited the steel plant I shook his hand even though I disagreed with his policies. I don't agree with Justin Trudeau either but on company property I represent the company that pays my bills and has received millions of dollars from the government to improve our workplace in the last 10 years. What you do outside the gate is different from how you conduct yourself while at work. I don't disagree with this man's thoughts and Trudeau had no reason for his visit other than trying to dig himself out of a hole which is too deep to get out of. Canoeing with the indigenous community and fluffing his feathers for the compensation agreement and a few bucks for local transit. We need Healthcare funding more than anything here and tax relief. That will not happen with this government. Just more tax payer funded vacations for the PM.
