That's ridiculous, it's a nonprofit organization that brings in economic value through tourism and is a key part of our cultural history.

Dubai is "thriving" because of slave labour and deplorable human rights violations.

US liquor sales are down 60%, which hurts their bottom line significantly.

Can these be booked for a single night? I feel like that would get more use than $375 for the winter. Also, having to vacate the spots by 7 a.m. may be a deterrent, especially for someone who is looking to use the spot for the entire winter. That's a lot of early mornings in bad weather just to get out and move your car.

It mentions in the article that the data is tracked back to the 1800s.We have far better show clearing than we did 40-50 years ago, too.

Don't teens already ride free? Do you see a "free for all" on the buses now? How would adding 12-year-olds to the mix change this?

Have they said that fines start at 1 km over?

R. Baxter, is there proof that residents support the monument? Or are we just taking her at her word?

I would much rather have them find ways to generate revenue than cut spending. I'd rather have better snow clearance, better public transit, road maintenance, improved parks and recreation, etc., especially if the only "drawback" is having a Tim Horton's inside the Rec Centre, or re-naming the Brian Orser Arena.

For people in their 50s and 60s, when they went to university they could work for a summer and afford a year's tuition, nowadays a student would need to work for a year to save up enough money for one year of school. It's very difficult to get a good paying job without a post-secondary education (and no, not everyone wants to or is able to work in the trades), but you want people to work for years so they can...save up to get their post-secondary education. The same people who make comments like yours are the ones who complain about youth living at home until they're in the mid-late 20s and can't understand why they don't just "go out and get a real job."I am really tired of people getting help climbing the ladder and then turning around to pull the ladder up so nobody else can use it.

Lack of doctors, lack of provincial funding. People who don't have family doctors may not have a walk-in clinic they can attend, so they end up in the ER instead. Also, lack of funding means lack of staff and lack of doctors, which increases wait times.

So property taxes are not increasing, but I guarantee that everyone who rents is having their rent increased by the maximum amount. This means those who own their homes (who generally are better off than those renting) save money, and those who are renting lose money.

I used to live up on Quinn, and that intersection is problematic for many reasons, not the least of which is that Mississaga turns 90 degrees, so it's somehow an intersection of three roads, where none of them continue through the intersection. I've also seen way too many people stop going east/west on Quinn/Mississaga, where they have no stop sign, to the point that I wonder if it'd be safer to just make it a 4-way stop.

Have they said how this works for duplexes, triplexes, etc? Do all units share one bin?

Very well deserved!

Why not? The data comes directly from the Government of Canada weather site, which gets their data from local weather expert Dave Brain.
