Lol American "Democracy" has been dead at a bear minimum of 25 years, right around the time of that illegal invasion of Iraq for non existent WMD's....and perdue pharma's pushing of FDA approved "safe non addictive" oxy-contin and subsequent 20 year war to liberate all that Afghani opium. I mean professor emeritus and tenured political theorist Sheldon S. Wolin had published in 2003 "A Kind of Fascism Is Replacing Our Democracy," and wrote "Democracy incorporated" back in 2007. This is a nation who spends almost a trillion dollars a year on military expenditures and whose pentagon hasn't passed a fiscal audit in a decade.

Oh my gosh it's communism!!!!I actually remember the first time i saw something like this was back in the late 90's/early 00's out on Vancouver island (i know the article "says" a grass roots movement from the U S in 2016) pretty sure it was out in either Sooke or Langford. Same with those little "libraries" that are popping up all over.

Hey Remember when Justin Trudeau came out and said-"Friends, we must be clear eyed about the current state of global affairs. The long peace after the 2nd World War is over."That was July 10th 2024 almost 4 months before Donald Trump was re-elected. the "war machine" is revving its engine.

"In due time"America is a failing empire, these are its death throws. Its been discussed ad nausuem for at least a decade (probably 2 if we're going to 9/11 and the aftermath ie; Patriot Act) Trumps whole schtick is "Make America Great Again" as its been in decline for some time. Who knows how it ends up, my guess is the "Divided states of America" as the left/right rift as accelerated dramatically since covid, there has been talk of civil war in America for some time. How are you going to absorb a country the majority of which is vehemently opposed to "being American" when you're already teetering on the brink. It doesn't make sense, the logic just isn't there.

@PuhleaseYes.Jesus clearly didn't want you doing those things, which is why instead of teaching the multitude to fish or bake bread he simply used magic to multiply the loaves and fish, he didn't want to teach them how to perform this multiplication magic either so he didn't.Eating the fruit of knowledge led to mans downfall, Original sin.God's intention was for you to be a drooling imbecile completely reliant on him for everything. Which is completely perplexing because if Adam and Eve were a little more intelligent they would have questioned how a snake could talk.

@Ohitsjustme.This is patently false crime rates are 25% lower than peak of 2003, and like 40% lower than the early 90's. This can easily be verfied by checking statcan.Has there been a rise? Yeah but its nowhere near the early 2000's or early 90's

@lovethenorthEverything is cheap stuff from China. But I don't get your distain for Amazon, almost every retailer has an online store front, and most of the time they offer "online only deals".Walmart for example has many of those same sellers on their marketplace.Giant tiger offers "online only" deals (and the majority of stuff can't even be purchased "in store" at our local giant tiger) The best part about online purchases is there are no employed panhandlers begging (or demanding) tips

Has nobody told Don that you're not supposed to fight a war on two fronts? Especially when your attacking all of your allies? He announced his cartel war against Mexico, he's demanded the Saudi's "subsidize" American Oil, he's picked a fight with the Muslim world with his "resorts on West Bank" Not to mention America has been on the brink of civil war for at least a decade and he's clearing out the FBI.The California wildfires showed he's not too concerned with his own citizens. This an interesting turn for America

I started after 9/11 and the illegal invasion of iraq for non-existent "weapons of mass destruction" and subsequent war of Afghanistan which flooded the globe in illicit opium as its been well documented from everywhere from the new york times, the guardian, 60 minutes Australia, the global times, Washington post, Rolling stone, Rueters, theobamawhitehouse.archives, the united nations etc etc etcThe only thing the "war on terror" did was flood our streets with heroin

@goshdarn.hey did you know last year Vladimir Putin won Russia's election with 88% of the vote, the highest percentage in a presidential election in the post-soviet era.Sounds pretty democratic to me.(I'm with Osho when he describes what a democracy basically means)

Nope. The problem with economists is they are economists. When you destroy the social fabric of society, and eradicate the family unit and any sense of pride in the community it doesn't matter how much money you have. The blight of spirit can not be cured by dollars, look at Elon Musk, the richest man in the worlds life goals consist of flying off to a lifeless frozen hellscape bathing in radiation. Wealth junkies are no different than any other junkie, you can never get enough to satiate the emptiness inside.
