VIDEO: Why communities everywhere are banning candy tossing at parades

Maybe we should ban these people from parades that cook these ideas up

Christmas Day No one could get their kids a vegetable, fruit or bag of milk from a grocery store but you could get them a joint or edible from a pot shop. Now we sell beer in the grocery stores and are soon to be able to buy wine and liquor in corner stores and grocery stores and wonder why intoxicated driving offences won’t go down, and don’t forget privatization of health care. Canada better wake up because all we’re becoming is just another American state. I can’t wait till we can buy guns at Walmart.

Small town Guelph trying to be big city, something has to give. Sometimes you just have to say no and that’s ok but finding that someone to say no is proving to be difficult. I have grown up in Guelph and man we have lost our identity.

There should be 1 more letter and that’s a letter of apology from the person who lodged the complaint, what were you thinking?

Companies are making record profits, the higher ups are living a life like no one else and the little is expected to just keep eating humble pie. This is just the start, expect more of the little man to demand more of the profits pie to live a half descent lifestyle. Good job Cargill employees.

Tax tax tax tax tax tax tax tax what else is new, just 1 more suggestion if they haven’t thought of it yet but maybe we should be taxing the Guelph air we breathe or maybe they’re already thinking of that.

Why don’t we hold those accountable that are doing the graffiti instead of the business owners. I personally don’t own a business but feel it’s unfair to hold the owners accountable. Holding people accountable these days I know seems a little crazy and something the people that are doing the graffiti aren’t used to but maybe that’s a better idea. A bucket and scrub brush and some elbow grease might make them think twice, but that would hold them accountable and maybe we don’t want to start doing that it might hurt their feelings.

They’re either parks or encampments but they sure as heck can’t be both and if you are TAKING them for encampments then someone needs to explain to the neighborhood kids why they no longer have a park. This is ridiculous enough is enough, time to hold people accountable both the homeless and the people that think they know how to deal with this problem. Lot of money being spent on a problem that keeps getting worse.

Could you imagine if our kids talked to each other the same way you people are on this blog they would be expelled from school. Politics brings out the true person inside all of us and most of you people are true bullies specially when hiding behind electronic devices. Man we have become so American over politics.

How does this come as a surprise, the University does whatever they want whenever they want and know the city can’t do anything to stop them. Just think about homecoming and Saint Patrick’s Day the citizens pay for that financial mess the STUDENTS cause and the University doesn’t help out one bit. It all comes down to money, money for them that’s why they over shoot the numbers by a lot and at the end of the day they don’t care because they will do whatever they want whenever they want.

And then we wonder why rent in this city’s one of the highest around, when taxes go up like this so does rent. Good job council keep up the good work.

I agree that there should be a renoviction bylaw but if we’re going to impose that then there should be a bylaw to allow a landlord to evict a tenant that doesn’t pay rent, and the process to evict shouldn’t include the rental tribunal and shouldn’t take months to impose. You don’t pay rent your gone none of this squatting going on or I just don’t think I should have to pay.

You Who they’re all 16 all 3 goalies are only 16 as well the team is very young. The most important thing all the fans need to remember is in 2 years we’re going to be a powerhouse in the OHL . We all need to trust the process and George, I personally can’t wait for the future of this team.

So with all these new cameras I feel like there should be a decrease in the police budget simply because you don’t need them for handing out tickets if the cameras are doing their jobs.
