I wonder what the principals and staff think about this. Embarrassing and discouraging. Where is the accountability for the poor rankings? Maybe salary should be paired with success for the administrators.
They are the most dangerous drivers on the road. Slower reaction times, poorer eyesight. How or why would you make it easier to qualify for a renewal???
The City is becoming more of a joke. High Paid councillors who only want photo ops, it seems that West Ridge is all they care about , speed cameras only in the older part of the city for another money grab, terrible snow removal , dare I say more.
Bobba. Many people who are struggling with food insecurity have cars, they also have jobs. Not every one who uses a food bank is on social assistance. Families need transportation for school, work, medical appointments ect. Don't be so ignorant to think that low income people can't drive. I hope you don't find yourself in a position where you need the food bank. Maybe they'll turn you away because you have a car.
It seems that these egregiously entitled staffers are threatening to go on strike or have a job action every year. They already are paid well for the amount of time they are actually working especially when you consider that they teach the same curriculum every year with very little change to what they teach, hence extra free prep time for them on the tax payers dime. It's time the provincial government steps in to control the greedy unions and teaching staff.
Since the city is replacing the cooling systems, It seems that they are guilty in the current litigation that they are facing. Although I think everything will be settled out of court with a gag order attached.
After spending 20+ years in the Developmental Services sector , start by laying off your middle management and put that money back into residential programming. Work with the union, and stop hiring unqualified part time staff . The city has enough issues to deal with and can't afford to fund your organization. Talk to Doug Ford and stop whining about it.
Maybe Orillia can get the snow plows to put the plow blade close enough to the road to make a difference. Also, salting streets that have a hill/grade for a safer drive would help. It is ridiculous out there.
