City councillors could see a 33% pay raise, 10% for mayor next term

Why a raise at all ? The city is a mess, streets badly cleared of snow, driving the streets is like driving in a ploughed field. Maybe the crew at city hall could take a drive around the city once in a while to check out the conditions pot holes etc. Next election can’t come quick enough .

MPPs won’t visit schools or hospitals they are afraid to see the mess they have created. Election time is not far off , so why vote when nothing will change. Politics has become a comedy of errors !

Don’t buy gift cards unless they are sold at the cashier counter. Stores like Shoppers , Zehrs etc have them on racks away from any supervision. Safest way is give your own card with money in it. Stores are to blame for these thefts .

Liberals love to spend and waste taxpayers money, and have no shame . Same as Justin Trudeau. Leave the mess behind..

Tax payers should be consulted before something this expensive is decided on . After all our taxes will be paying for it. Toronto is the last place for this they are in enough trouble financially without adding to it. Better hope they don’t have the winter we have next year

The new Mayor will have a lot to deal with. I drove on York road today and threw pot holes are a plenty. No sign of any patching being done . I realize the construction hasn’t been done since before Xmas but surely the newly made pot holes could be patched. There is a real concern for vehicle damage. Many holes you can’t see until it’s too late. Since you are still the Mayor perhaps you should drive over there and see for yourself. All communities are repairing except Guelph. Can’t wait for the annual CAA survey.

No Pool. That’s an accident waiting to happen.

Ashamed of those who voted against keeping bike lanes clear in winter, give your heads a shake. I guess it wasn’t fancy enough .

Foolish idea. Guelph doesn’t need this .

Remember Liberal Dalton McGuinty ‘s gas plant fiasco. Tax payers paid for that . Lib or Cons they are all the same. Hope NDP never get to be Premier.😩

Top heavy and less work done. Take that extra money and give to police budget . At least we will see results.

Some of the city workers need to drive around and see garbage dumped at toad sides. It’s not going to go away by itself. I drove on Stone road east to Jones base line a few days ago. Bags of garbage even a mattress. Haven’t seen any teams doing the usual garbage clean up. Too bad these dumpers can’t be caught.

Will clearing streets and sidewalks in winter be better than his year. ? Doubt it !
