I don't know why I live in this Country, I'm not a snow person, hate it with a passion! I do agree, that people need more sidewalks opened, and significantly sanded, they can't keep walking on roads, pedestrians deserve better!I'm tired of huge plows pushing snow from side streets into already high banks, everytime they clear roads.
The layoffs are announced,35 weeks ,no work, no income, lineups at employment offices, and MERRY CHRISTMAS TO YOU MR CARNEY, Taxpayers have given you millions, and for what, we are targeted for every downturn Copanies need. No amount of money, expected from taxpayers, is going to bail out the whole darn province, let alone Canadian Corporations. This government, lines their pockets, attending CHRISTMAS PARTIES AT TAXPAYERS EXPENSE, WELL HAVE A DRINK FORXALL OF US, SEEMS ELBOWS UPMMEANS HOLDING UP YOUR GLASS , WHILE THE MAJORITY VISIT FOOD BANKS! LIBERALS HAVE CAUSED THIS,BUT, THEY GO UNSCATHED. I FOR ONE WANT YOU AND YOUR BUNCH OF CORRUPT LIBERALS OUT!!
I'll never understand, why when buses are cancelled due to hazardous driving , why The Boards just don't cancel all staff ! Are staff impervious to hazards due to driving on slick, icy roads in the Country and City? The safety of all should be a concern, we should expect , "Safety first", it's the last day before Christmas Break, for gosh sakes letting schools be closed is not a big decision, it's common sense!
He's really big, keep pets indoors, keep children indoors,,the East view School should be careful, students walking home, and recesses , should be cancelled, till a hungry bear gets caught!
Does not matter, whether doors are locked, they break in and smash windows. They need stuff to sell. The knife concerns me. The police budget is overdrawn, can't ask them to be everywhere. Loud alert horns, and lights that shine bright can deter them, but they're brazen, so sorry for the victims.
Hope the 56 million dollar sewage plant isn't in NIMBY, LOCATION. WE DO NEED WASHROOMS FOR PEOPLE AT CEMETARY, AND REST BENCHES, PEOPLE COME FROM MILES TO CARE FOR GRAVESITES, TAKE FOR EXAMPLE, ECHO BAY REST STOPS, WELL KEPT, CONCRETE, WELL MAINTAINED, IT DIDNT COST $375.000!As for a dome, we'll, we can't have students and sports games, during late fall and winter, perhaps a year round dome is not such a bad idea. Football games, public events, sure would be nice, for all, even hockey games, The Roberta Bonder tent is not warm during weddings, and Bon Soo Events, just to name a few.
Water is so valuable to all people, plants, wildlife, I don't blame anyone who responds unfavorable, when affluence is topic of discussion, yes there is a chance something can go wrong, but let me tell you a real true incident while at the Goulais River cottage, where fisherman cast their lines. I was watching the flow of the river, one summer day, oh, I'd say 9 years ago, and lo and behold, a diaper came floating on the river, followed by cans, and garbage, no kidding. Now you may be concerned about your water quality now, BUT WHAT ABOUT 9 YEARS AGO. PEOPLE SHOULD BE AWARE OF THOSE PERFORMING THIS DESPICABLE ACT.
Bottom line, Mall rents are extremely pricey, and taxes for downtown business owners are astronomical. Every year we wait, with baited breath, for the anticipated rise in taxes. It's impossible to survive!
What next? Prefer Porter, but strike won't get me to my destination, I suppose people will bear the rising costs to fly, our choices are limited.Porter had us flying to Toronto one day later, no explanation! I do agree that experienced pilots are necessary to the safety of all aboard.Poter, in my view , your scabbing,a not so good look if you want to maintain integrity, and professionalism!
I'll be attending the meeting on Ontario Hydros plans to build an extensive transmission line, near Echo Bay, people shall have their say, whether or not Hydro One listens, is another thing, it reminds me of the transmission lines , running up on Sackville Road, Third Line, it's emitting pcbs, and noise from the transmission lines are evident, surely you can expect people to agree with this. The lines are gargantuan, heavy, and unsightly, thus bringing house values down. I for one do not want heavy lines shoeing from the area where my cottage is situated, also , this will have a profound bearing on wildlife, including birds, and beneficial insects, that are in the bushes, the sounds, not heard by the human ear, disrupts flight, as birds become disoriented, animals react to electrical currents that course through the wires, it wreaks havoc with the natural landscape of terrain. I am openly against this idea, find another spot, it's not what people want, at all!Glenna Davey

Were under a severe thunderstorm watch for the Sault, love the sounds of thunder echoing through narrows at Lonely Lake. The lightening puts on a show, but staying out of water, and staying indoors is recommended. Stay safe folks!
