This goes against councils own plans for revitalizing the south core. Saying that the Miles street location will add to the revitalization project is the biggest joke ever. City council make sure you provide your public taxpayers with updates on the number of homeless that are “rehabilitated” and have the life skills and jobs you are so sure will happen.
Seriously? So working hard and having a rental property, which the owner pays taxes on, and bought and paid for with the money they earned, is punishable now? This world is messed up when hard working people cannot do better without being made to feel like they are the bad person. What is happening in this world?
Absolutely ridiculous. Our roads and infrastructure is in a deplorable state. I have to play dodge the holes on my to work every day so I can pay for other people to live for free,in a homeless shelter, that looks like Wisteria Lane on the River, in a “heritage park” paid for by our tax dollars.
This is beyond sad! And our city council who is so willing to build a shelter village for people whoPay nothing, think telling them to find alternative housing is ok? Absolutely appalling and unacceptable
Does city council think lowering the tax rate for business will bring in more businesses? Who will be able to afford to support all these new businesses that will now flock to Thunder Bay? Certainly not the homeowner just trying to pay their taxes and survive. Certainly not myself who works full time and just recently started a second job. Nobody will have time to support new business, they’ll be too busy working to keep their heads above water
Sounds like you have no idea what these officers deal with every day. Go sit at the police station or in emerg for a week. See what they put up with. And. O I’m pretty sure that’s not what the signed up for
Thank you city of Thunder Bay. My taxes just went up over 600.00 this year. How long can I sustain your property tax payments before I’m at your doorstep trying to get into your encampment. As I near retirement I am quite fearful. Spent my whole life working for what I have and will probably have to work after my retirement age. So again, I thank you for spending my tax dollars for people who get fed, clothed, housed and apparently any other services the city thinks they need and continuing to give to people who do not pay one cent in income tax or property taxes.
Great. Not sure how I can keep affording to pay for everyone else to live for free. I honestly don’t know what this city is thinking. The tax paying people of this city are at our max and they dare say our money now has to pay for privacy fencing? I have no words
