We should not be tasking this to firefighters in my opinion. Do you want a firefighter who has been shovelling snow all day to come to your aid or one who is well rested and ready to respond. This also puts the rigs out of strategic response locations. The argument of course what about fire alarm testing... Yes, however our streets are clogged, some near impassible again slowing down a response to an emergency. This is a utilities responsibility, we should be holding them accountable. Again just my opinion
The Algoma Autism Foundation has transitioned away from the puzzle piece years ago. If you note the new flag it is indeed the ribbin you speak of. Many people still use the puzzle piece because from their perspective its not about being broken or that something is missing. They see it as a positive, whereas regardless of the "shape" without it, the entire puzzle is incomplete, so they look at it from a different lens. Both perspectives are respected. As for the puzzle piece posters, those students (who are also autistic) made them and were given free reign to do whatever they chose.
