OkotoksToday 12The UCP is make an even bigger mess of the health-care system here in Ab. There is no way this is going to save the province money. Privatization is the same as Profit over people. I've worked in health-care for almost 8 years, ive never seen so many coworkers depressed, anxious and unhappy! We don't know who will keep jobs and who won't. Smith and LaGrange have driven so many health-care workers out of this province. The workers will strike, I can see it happening sooner rather than later all because those 2 knuckleheads won't listen to the greater population. They are catering to the right wing extremists!

OkotoksToday 5I attended, and was in line to ask a question. However, with the long winded non answers for many questions there were abput 10 people whom didn't get to ask our questions. I felt by the end of it that Smith really doesn't give crap about anyone or anything. This UCP gov't is going to do what they want, how they want, and not be accountable to anyone opposing her ideals! She will be mining for coal on the eastern slopes of the rocky mountains, without considering the effects on the environment, people and any ensuing animals and livestock. Can we have a referendum question on her? There really needs to be!

OkotoksTodayClosing the intersection won't help. Problems persist because if impatient people, and non educated drivers. People have a choice to avoid the intersection, yet they still keep using it. I've lived out her for 10 years, and I have never had trouble navigating thay intersection, or others along the same corridor. Dumb drivers exist, and they cause the accidents.

OkotoksTodayWell, as a single person I can no longer afford to live here. Housing prices have gone up so much and yet the mayor and town council keep ignoring what the majority of people are saying, we don't want more development. Okotoks was a super nice size when I moved here 9 years ago. Now I'm being forced to move, working full time isn't enough anymore which is very, very sad.

I feel it would've been better at the rec center or even the viking center! Closing off another east/west road north of the river is ludicrous!
