City council slams brakes on Kinach’s need for speed

Um, I think she was single handily looking at the state of the highway and laughed at thinking we can compete in high(er) speed with what we have for a highway! We only need to drive to other areas rather the cocoon you might be stuck in to see!

After reading the various violent crimes on here in one night alone and various other shenanigans happening I can't imagine a bike full of intoxicated what nots pedaling about? Cheers to y'all and heads up, keep feeding the system.

WOW, if it's just words...I'm impressed! It's that type of character that is needed in many things not just this "Ring Of Fire"...the character I speak of is one that is out of their usual local living area out into the bigger picture of their territory (Canada). Albeit every project has it's environmental impacts it's notwithstanding to say I'm ALL for his approach to at least stir the mix!

It is a GREAT option rather than going into Pearson's off the wall bag tagging drug scams and what not these days with whom knows what people that have been hired there in the baggage and handling sector! I'm all for flying out of somewhere where there's a slight good chance there's nothing nefarious going on under my seat! GREAT NEWS!

It is nice...I grew up playing on them steps and ramps as a kid and in fact played there when there was a large tank farm and Avery's Sand pits on that property! Seeing the place around downtown grow to what it became and has become I'm kind of at least liking the Hall! Let it be what it may it's done and sits finally well done....AGAIN! Likewise as another poster here, and I'm sure many others to follow I really shouldn't be in politics and honestly I am not so knowing nothing about the under the carpet details I don't. All I am saying that from a first person view with little to no background on the "dirt" it does leave quite an impression and white is totally not my color but this did something to me!

Someone please "shut that man up" already! Could the States turn the tables and start saying they want to SEPARATE and form their own solidarity state?

Wow, harrowing experience in that water at that temperature in angry seas! I've been on the Lake at unforgiving times myself and Lake Huron in my younger years setting nets with my grandfather again in some nasty weather turns! That stuff STAYS with you forever, the color of the water (black) and the relentless feeling of being so small out there! Great story and happy you lived to tell the tale!

It is what it is and it's still pretty decent...I always think of places like Rossport, Schrieber, Hornepayne, White River, Chapleau etc...we really do have at least SOMETHING here in the Soo! Admire at least what you have!

If you took the picture, did no one even see whom the vehicle or better yet took a snap of the driver of this truck? Laughing, now that would have been the better part of the story where someone brought us the bacon to the story! Flame away now minions...enjoy!

Thanks Westjet...something in is better than something out! I'll likely be on a flight soon enough that way so that's great news!

Wow, sorry for your moments Carl! I heard a different fate from this incident but I see we've heard wrong! Pick yourself up and things do change for people...maybe your turn will come soon enough!

It's actually a very intriguing story and one that resonates to a time of what many now can only try to imagine where people would plan around a Sunday and attend? I know that is very foreign today! The musical influence is something also that went over the top in obtaining something very unique and it's not even at a MAJOR building but a small congregation! Thanks for the history about it and again something that is fading away silently which is people gathering! Thanks!

Add me to the roster of becoming a better kid through the Y all them years ago!

LoL over 100cms bring it on...wow! What kind of appears bizarre is there's still the career wingnuts doing robberies etc through all this? Can you first off not grab a shovel (steal one even) and shovel someone's walk way for money my lord there's MONEY so easy to be made right now!

Okay yes, I was concerned about the letter I just received in the mail...I'll be calling my provider to ensure I'm covered!

I just drove home this evening (as did a throng of patrons from the Laird Raceway) in the dark and I shudder to think of driving anything faster at night in the rain on the 4 lane! Have many of you driven that tire rut water laden lanes, honestly speak up cause you literally drive through continuous tire ruts of several centimeters of water haphazardly spraying a vehicle comically at times that are beside you while you struggle to maintain a line. Think continuous hydroplaning if it helps. Am I wrong to consider the state of our local highway(s) are missing infrastructure guidelines to allow bumping of speeds? Are there standards and we met them cause I'm out! Unfortunately I live out in this area and albeit I'm excited for the gunners that live the 8-4, 9-5 lifestyle cause that's what this only targets which is daylight running in it's current state!

Wow, I can not fathom the ideology that came about in that group to decide, hey this is a "way better idea" to just drive all this way kind of aimlessly and figure this out! Way better!

Oh, perhaps a computer model can mimmick scenarios and it's all irrelevant to have boots on the ground attitudes in exact locations these days. I'll say this though, I'd rather trust a person that said, yes these models have been driven relentlessly in your climate before production rather than saying we've built this on a computer model and will let you prove our test findings. Anyways I recall meeting a few of these drivers and seeing some new models back in the day while staying at the Queen's motel in Hearst. So do you think then the overall cost to purchase their vehicles will decrease with this big annual expense gone?

I kind of agree, the people that grew up here can drive . It's the newcomers I'd be telling to STAY OFF ROADS... NO UBERS
