This is one of the sectors where strikes are needed, its totally unacceptable that cabin crew are only paid in the air. They have air canada by the short curlies and the government should not interfere with the bargaining process. How many people would be okay with not being paid for all time worked. Imagine if suddenly doctors were told they wouldn’t be paid for any duties apart from patient care? Or retail workers would only be paid for time when they are interacting with customers? Postal workers wouldn’t be paid for walking time, but only when they are actually putting mail into mailboxes. Its insane to expect flight attendants to clean up the planes after a flight and not be paid, this often includes cleaning vomit! Airlines need to do better!!

Several countries have issued travel warnings and travel advisories with respect to the United States.. Our councillors and theirs cannot do ONE thing to effect change in the USA, he is a one man show. Our elected officials shouldn’t be going over there for this useless reason. Our citizens have been encouraged to boycott, travel there and products purchase there. Our counsellor should not be going.
