Please stop plowing the main streets 10+ times a day and start working on the side streets. Also, most streets need their banks cut down. I have a truck and can barely see exiting my driveway.
Health and safety takes precedence. They walk 20-30k a day. No one needs to be injured due to snow and ice when they can’t see going up some areas. Not sure why you have to comment such nonsense?
I agree. I wanted to buy a vehicle that was advertised. Only to find out it was located in southern Ontario. The sales rep (Ray) didn’t even get back to me and I tried calling him twice. Bad customer service. Stay away.
@ Number One Son. Yes we do. I am a letter carrier thanks. Come check my step counter and then tell me otherwise. Don’t be spreading the “old postie” knowledge with everyone because things are not “like the old days”.
There are some people that do not receive much mail, and there are some people that still receive stacks of mail. Yes, mail volumes have declined over years but there is still plenty of mail in the system. Secondly, the workers at Canada Post have been there on the front line for everyone (even through covid). And in 8 plus years have yet to see any form of any decent wage increases. 24% in a 4 year contract isn't over the top. It is in line with other similar sized companies and or businesses wage increases. Other companies such as Fedex, Purolator, etc. are making $5 more an hour than postal workers, how is that fair? very similar jobs.. Speaking of which, the parcel industry has greatly grown even though mail volume declined. Canada Post has done a good job at painting the "we are going broke" picture. I ask you to read some of the unions views and testimony online at cupw.ca for more information.
ShawnM thank you for your insight, but unless you work for Canada Post, you're only looking at this from your point of view and are extremely unknowledgeable when it comes to the bigger picture (and you cannot speak for all Canadians).
