Its getting to the point when this kind of thing happens on our highways it is no surprise anymore. To many transports on the road for the type of highways we have up here. And better training for the drivers of these big rigs would help.

If it is truely coming then yes it would be a great place to shop. Shopped at one in Ottawa and the prices were great and the options you have is unreal compared to anything we have now. I say bring it on, love to have one in Thunder Bay.

I grew up in the 60's and 70's riding bikes. Never a problem riding your bikes along the side of the road. I remember we had to have a bike licence from the city. They used to go around your seat stem. Does the city generate income from bikes anymore? If not maybe they should to pay for these fancy bike lanes.

I tried looking up where the money comes from for this grant. Is this tax payers money being spent?

The way energy costs are going up and the increase of everything we buy because of the 25% tarrifs we might see a lot more people out on the street as they cannot afford housing now. Maybe this should have been doubled to help more people out. Its coming folks, things are not going to get better thanks to the orange haired guy across our border.

Ya I was thinking the same thing. In the old days you would see 5 people standing around leaning on shovels and one poor guy digging the hole. How times have changed or have they

I worked there around 1975. Was a going concern back then. Parking lot was full and they fabricated lots of things. To bad its not that way now.

I would post my opinion but it will not get posted so why bother? Funny how one side gets to air their story but not the other side. Think I am living in Russia.

Sounds nice but I have no idea where this is being considered. A googel map might have been nice to add to your story so we senior's no where we might be living sometime down the road.

And can you give us any reference to the first nation's wanting to take the park from the city? They tried to take all of the Kam river up to dog lake where a lot of the grave yards are for them years ago and that never went very far so how do you figure they will take the park?

And who is going to pay for all the cleanup of chemicals along the water front? Tax payers? All of the water front was used for industry and not one of them ever cleaned up when they left. Industrial site cleanup involves removing pollutants and contaminants from soil and water to protect human health and the environment, often through methods like excavation, bioremediation, or chemical treatment. No way would I want to live anywhere near there.

Replying to Sour R a bike use's the road that we pay extra for to use. Its called a licence and was very common probably well before you were born and just a spark in your daddy's eyes. The sadewalks you walk on are paid for from your taxes.
