I'm glad it's gone. Sorry, the coffee is terrible, nothing is fresh, always brought in frozen, like other Timmies. Quality has gone down hill very fast, staff don't care, etc.... I will never set foot in another Tim Hortons, ever!!!! Especially after all the news stories of letting long time staff go to hire "cheaper" labor subsidized by "us" tax payers money. So happy there will be a fresh place at the hospital, long overdue!!!

If plowing these lanes is going affect/raise my property taxes even more than what they have been, then I disagree 100%!!!! Leave it as is, why should I pay more money for the very slim minority of people that use them??? Cyclists should be made to purchase a licence, pay insurance like cars do, then they could use that money to expand the plowing to the bike lanes, only fair!!!!!

Sorry, but these bike lines have already taken so many traffic lanes away from the drivers of this city causing more congestion and frustration. I agree with the vote. The majority of the transportation is vehicles, and the way the city has gone is backwards, I agree with that point but because of all the main roads going from 4 lane back to 2 lanes to try and please the minority bikers!!!!

The "Library" fiasco has never been needed or wanted by the majority of residents!!! Absolutely disgusting that so much tax payer money is going to this useless project!!! Money could have been spent in so many other places to help people, Guelph and the people that "run" it is becoming the joke of the province!!! So sick of these people..... Oh, don't forget to vote yourselves a nice big raise while people struggle, only makes sense eh??????????? Sickening!!!!

And that's the way it should always be!!!! The bike lanes do nothing but help a "very few" people while causing more back log for normal vehicle traffic. Same can be said about Imperial Rd....... I drive it multiple times per day during the week, can maybe count 1 or 2 bikes at most, and those are usually those electric scooter going the wrong way on the road, going against traffic, not with it!!! We don't need all these bike lanes that just cause more heavy traffic delays!!!!!

I believe the idea for more business patios far outweighs the need for a playground. There are plenty of parks in the city, we don't need one in the heart of downtown, just silly!!!!

Well said Carrie. The library is the elephant in the room. Such a huge waste of tax payer money!!! And yes, bike lanes should not take priority over homeless vets, road conditions, housing, etc..... I've seen maybe 4-5 bikes all winter, and probably 3-4 were e-bikes. Great when you see them at 6:30am going against traffic with no lights, reflectors, nothing!!! Then they scream when almost hit or when an actual vehicle honks at them.... Absolutely no need!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just read that, how crazy!!! Twice in the same day at that!!! Those 2 drivers need to suspended for life, find something else to do where lives aren't at risk!!!!

So time to leave this city I once loved, when we had "good" management at the helm!!!! Cam Guthrie has done very little to help the people of Guelph keep their hard earned money in their own pockets. Guthrie would fit right in with Carney and the rest of the circus in Ottawa, maybe you should consider the move Guthrie, Guelphites are tired of the joke you've made city hall and the way the spending is out of control!!!! That fiasco of a library is the biggest joke of them all!!! That should have a been a city wide "peoples" vote whether to build un-needed stuff like that, not a bunch of over paid under worked public paid city workers sitting around a table at city hall. I promise you that never would have been built if the people were the ones voting!!!! I see my property taxes go up every year and city services going down, like garbage collection now, that's a whole other joke of a conversation!!!! Hate to leave, but can't afford Guthrie anymore!!!!!

How about stop taking away 2 lane traffic lanes to put in bike lanes on major roads like Imperial Rd. Congestion has gotten so bad in the mornings and after work because of being down to 1 lane each way. Absolutely insane, city gets bigger, more people equals more drivers, but let's take lanes away...... Makes zero sense!!!

Sorry, but this funny. Every "online" platform allows people the freedom to say what they feel, other than maybe Tic Tok. They censor everything. Anyway, good luck...

Not gonna help much on "icy" roads, especially a bus..... Please educate before making statements.....

Yeah, ok. Has nothing to do with the way our own government is running the country does it????? Please do some research next time.....:)

I think we should be more worried about bail reform and criminals being let out time after time after time...... Those are more important issues in many minds, not this. Sorry, but this should be lower on peoples lists of stuff to worry about!!

I'm sure it may be a fun time, but parking is going to be at a premium I would bet..... Is parking "free" in the new big lot that cost tax payers millions??? I could only hope so. I will try and go, but if parking is what I think it will be, I'll be heading home before even getting out....:(

For the money we pay in taxes and to see the services go downhill so poorly, something needs to be done!! We are so far behind neighboring cities in road, sidewalk upkeep!!! I don't say bike lanes, because a lot of our neighbors are smarter than Guthrie and don't take away traffic lanes to create tree hugger bike lanes and cause more traffic backups and issues because of turning 4 lane main roads into 2 lane "crawl" lanes. Other cities are doing such a better job, especially on roads. I've been to a few around the area the last few weeks, roads are in such better condition, doesn't feel like you're driving on a goat trail in mountains.. Guelph roads are terrible. Oh, and the sand does "nothing" super mayor Guthrie, the salt supply was ordered months ago, someone dropped the ball, this shouldn't be an issue!!!

Guelph seems to be the last to party in most things...:( Sad, but true. I know this probably won't get posted, because it's "negative"....Oh well, still very well said, if the rink has the underground structure in place, should be able to be kept cold.... Oh but wait, that would need gas and hydro usage, so they may have to raise our taxes to open it sooner, if so, I'll pass thanks. Cheers Guelphites!!
