Shame so many had to lose their jobs because this once-respected college turned diploma mill decided to get greedy and exploit international students like it was a license to print money.
The train is so insanely slow, they need to revisit speed laws or something. Also, how about better service on everything that's not the lakeshore line? We're always bombarded with save the environment messaging but going to Toronto on a weekend has to involve an hour or longer drive to Aldershot...
NIMBYism is Canada's superpower. It's like we're allergic to progress by design. If these people always got their way we'd still be traveling by horseback and using candles at night :-)
Important to note that it was supposed to originally be $10/day here as of 2024 and they kept kicking the can down the road... probably a good thing since it's now being proven to be unsustainable and poorly thought out. I'm grateful for it but simply handing provinces money and then telling them to "figure it out" hasn't really gone well for things like this, cannabis, etc.Part of me thinks this is being starved to make privatization/for-profit much more palatable. Just like our healthcare.
