So we have a conservative leader, who had to have two cracks at getting elected, and a local losing candidate, running around with the same tired talking points. He's like a broken record and he needs to go. Who knew he was coming btw?
Vair would not discuss reasons for the delay? GIP has nothing to say about this? They've had some very expensive equipment sitting idle on the hospital site for several months now. I think the tax payers of this city deserve answers.
Total waste of time and in my own experience more dangerous than if they weren't there. I travelled down Black Road with my travel trailer and they forced me to rid right on the centre line to avoid hitting them.
Absolutely we need some version of the NDP. It has to re-invent itself, but the last thing we need is what would essentially be a two party system. Look how well thats working south of our border.
Caused in part by our politicians? Seriously? This situation was caused by the authors of Project 2025, their useful idiot and the people who voted for him...and the ones who didn't vote at all.
He talks to a guy in Sault Michigan that hasn't been here in 33 years for his perspective and cherry picked a couple of idiots on this side. I wasnt going over there again anyway but that strengthened my resolve. They will never see a penny of my money again!
What we need to do in Ontario is amalgamate the public and separate boards. The present model is absolutely unsustainable. Only three provinces have separate boards and thats three too many. If you want what the Catholic board offers for your child you should pay the freight like other faiths do.
I personally, at this point in time have no issue with community mailboxes. I know all my neighbours quite well and I'm sure if someone was unable to make the trek to the mailboxes for whatever reason one of us would volunteer. At the same time, I do recognize that there are many circumstances. Another option might be delivery once or twice a week.
You've got to be joking! A year round ice slide costing 10 million dollars in a community that spends six months a year covered in ice and snow? I hope the Northern Ontario Heritage Fund gives this a pass...thats our tax dollars too.
I direct you to the Sootoday poll. Two thirds of the respondents are in favour of the portrait being there. Is the mayor so shortsighted he doesn't see why his constituents want that symbol of unity at this point in time.I would also like to suggest that the US flag outside city hall be flown at half mast, for obvious reasons.
Do they really need an 8500 square foot building downtown for this purpose? That seems a bit extreme to me. Almost $7000 a month rent and no mention of the cost of any renovations. This should be deferred until we have a response from the OPP.
How about kids go to the school closest to their home instead of shipping them all over town. Also, its about time we amalgamated the separate and public systems. Ontario tax payer cant afford this luxury any more. Only three provinces have a Separate system and thats three too many.
I've heard several stories now, of Canadians being hassled in Sault Michigan when shopping. Why would we subject ourself to that? I've haven't been in the US in several years now and I cant say I miss it.
You sound like an American. How about set the labels aside and work together for the betterment of the country. If you aren't part of the solution, you're part of the problem
You're delusional. Poilievre has had 20 plus years in governmental I bet you can't name one positive thing he's accomplished. His answer to the tarrifs? Telling Trump the "knock it off" and "stop the chaos" . Brilliant political strategy. You've drunk the koolaide pal.
