THE PAIKIN PODCAST: How should history remember the Freedom Convoy?
56
How should the freedom convoy be remembered? For me it was a revalation. I thought we as a nation were better than that. It should be relegated to the ash heap of history as national embarrassment.

So we have a conservative leader, who had to have two cracks at getting elected, and a local losing candidate, running around with the same tired talking points. He's like a broken record and he needs to go. Who knew he was coming btw?

Vair would not discuss reasons for the delay? GIP has nothing to say about this? They've had some very expensive equipment sitting idle on the hospital site for several months now. I think the tax payers of this city deserve answers.

In his 20 years in parliament Poilievre has never been involved in a scandal? Thats hilarious...he's never been involved in anything.

The right decision in my opinion. Moving toward fossil fuel generation for such meager benefits, both in jobs and capacity, makes no sense.

I wouldn't be jumping up and down too much about his 87% approval. According to the information I can find there were 2700 delegates on hand to vote. Diehards willing to travel to Calgary. According to the CPC's own figures there are 327000 paid up members. Do the math.

Why not. Nothing ventured, nothing gained.

Total waste of time and in my own experience more dangerous than if they weren't there. I travelled down Black Road with my travel trailer and they forced me to rid right on the centre line to avoid hitting them.

How very civic minded of you...

It took a lot longer than the last ten years to create this situation. Every issue does not boil down to partisan politics.

Shooting people in the street is a bit of a deterrent too.

This might be a win for Maitland. I don't see how removing competition and reducing the overall number of Ford service bays in the city is a win for Ford owners.

There are all sorts of place you could go if you don't like it here.

You first. Just give us one. What's Poilievres greatest achievement since he came into office 20 plus years ago? Blowing a 30 point lead in an election campaign doesn't count.

The last thing we need is an election. We need to let the federal government do its job and the CPC needs to get on with the job it was elected for. Working for Canadians. All Canadians.

What does Trump say...FAFO.

Absolutely we need some version of the NDP. It has to re-invent itself, but the last thing we need is what would essentially be a two party system. Look how well thats working south of our border.

Nobody I know is going over and its not because of the exchange rate. You couldn't pay me enough...

He talks to a guy in Sault Michigan that hasn't been here in 33 years for his perspective and cherry picked a couple of idiots on this side. I wasnt going over there again anyway but that strengthened my resolve. They will never see a penny of my money again!
