The workers of Sault Ste. Marie are doing an excellent job and working their azzes off. Our mayor and council are the problem. More manpower is needed to keep the streets clean. Perhaps we need to start requesting manpower and budgetary stats from the last 20 years or so to compare where we’ve gone wrong. I’ll give you a hint…it’s with our current local government .

Does anybody know what our mayor has done for us in this town to actually improve our quality of life economically??? I’m not talking about retail jobs at Marks work warehouse. I’m talking about good strong middle class jobs. What has he really done for Sault Sainte Marie? What has anyone at city Council done to diversify Sault Ste. Marie‘s economy?

It’s insane watching all these political parties eating each other alive at various levels of government over the publicity of these layoffs. It really shows how corrupt these politicians are.

Maybe if the clown liberal government would give algoma a break by suspending their carbon taxes until the tariff war blows over it would have gave Algoma a fighting chance!

Warmer, so like I said….what has city council done to diversify our economy and create GOOD MIDDLE CLASS JOBS?????? Not government jobs, not retail jobs…..

Common sense isn’t something the management at Algoma Steel is savvy to.

Cool that a foreign country wants to build submarines for Canada. Instead of Canada doing it themselves. I swear we’re the dumbest country on earth.

Does Shoemaker really do anything besides spend money and cry? Am I crazy or is he the most useless mayor we’ve ever had?
6
Exactly. I’m surprised she doesn’t want us all on government rented Segway electric scooters lmak

100% I love how Canadians think we’re some superpower. They sell more cars in California per year than all of Canada. The moneys in the states and we’re working hard to close that door!

Ban all cars! It works for guns when someone commits a gun crime.

You mean their severe lack of abundance?

Hopefully this money can be used when these people eventually breach their conditions and is forfeited to the crown for building larger prisons to lock these people up in.

Shoemaker can’t even manage snow removal let alone attract good paying jobs to our town. This port will amount to barely any full timePositions after construction. More false hope from an incompetent mayor and city council.

We all know a very large portion of people working from home do less and have done less work the entire time, everyone knows it…it’s no secret get a grip. All the ones crying the loudest about wanting to continue to work from home and making up every argument for it….well I guess we know what category you fall into LOL. Back to work, elbows up!!

It’s ok. Im sure the govt will dump more foreign students into your school to keep your cushy govt job. Gotta keep the Marxist brainwashing going!

Canada posts parcel delivery is hands down better than the minimum wage ran garbage the competitors offer except for purolator but they’re outrageously expensive compared to CP to ship a parcel. That said how does Purolator manage to employ union workers and turn a profit but Canada post can’t? MISMANAGEMENT
