The company should pay their drivers what they are worth. They deal with so many challenges and are looking after the safety of our children, grandchildren. It should never have to get to a strike situation. The families suffer because of the company. It should be settled.

It's nice to know that people care about the community. It shows pride in the many things we are privileged to use. I remember a time when we crawled under the fence and took our chances running across the highway there. It wasn't as busy then, I wouldn't try that now!

There are many factors to the amount of garbage anywhere. Garbage cans that are overflowing in public areas, blue box items blowing out, animals getting into garbage before it's picked up, public dumping, even garbage blowing out of garbage trucks. If anything happens to your garbage, clean it up. Take pride in what we have and encourage others to do the same.

It's a good thing that you have pictures. Try to explain that to an insurance company!

Years ago when I lived in Bonfield there was some vandals that were hitting mailboxes and signs, tipped over the Canada Post mailbox ( which is a federal offence) and stole items from neighbors. We had small wagon wheels on a post with our emergency number broken and wagon wheels stolen. They caught some or all of them, I don't remember. One of the individuals had to write us an apology and with his parent, had to put in a new post for our emergency number and the retrieved wagon wheels. I think facing up to their actions is better in some cases than facing charges. Shows them there are consequences to their actions.

Thank you for what you do. I hear stories of where drug addictions destroy families and it is so heartbreaking. Grandparents raising their grandchildren is becoming the new trend .

Why was she not given a portable heater in the meantime?

My mother almost got scammed. They sent a taxi to take her to the bank since she didn't drive. She slipped and fell getting in and an ambulance had to be called. We called the police and taxi company and didn't get any help because the fraud wasn't completed. I programmed all the family numbers into the phone. If it was a different number she didn't answer the phone.

They called after my father had died and must have gotten names from the obituary. My mother was not thinking straight due to her grief, thought it really was her daughter.

Employers need to be more considerate during adverse weather conditions. Their staff are better off arriving late and alive than not at all. We live where the climate changes all the time and some things can't be helped.
Might as well have this happen too. People smoking weed everywhere and shooting up needles. It's hard to take children anywhere without seeing all of this. Whatever happened to good clean fun?
