@231Turbo6Whatever damage you feel Trudeau may have done to the Canadian economy is going to pale against the impact a Trump White House will have on our economy.
@Sledneck1976The better question is, why don't you believe it? And for all of the comments that will say "All politicians are liars", please save your breath. It's a tired and lazy response.
Speak for yourself, I and many others are downtown all the time. But the bridge certainly needs to be fixed. I'd imagine, though, that if it were only closed in late 2024, there would be engineering and design work that needs to be done before work can proceed. Likely not an immediate fix.
Roundabouts generally improve pedestrian safety, in addition to improving traffic flow.https://www.iihs.org/topics/roundabouts#:~:text=Roundabouts%20generally%20are%20safer%20for,lower%20than%20at%20traditional%20intersections
Did they say the same in 2009 when Harper did it?In both cases, its party over country. But I bet Scheer or PP weren't making the same complaints then. Party politics are the worst. I wish independents had a stronger footprint in Canada.
The main entrance for the splash pad is clearly the Churchill entrance. And most people go to the park to walk so.. they can park at the marina and use the east entrance to the park.We live in a climate with a shortened construction season. What else do you expect the city to do?
Love it. The Dutch know what they're doing and so does the rest of Europe. I am all for the Woonerfs and this entire redevelopment. Excited for the future of the waterfront!
Makes sense, we're a four-season climate. This will open up a lot of opportunities for football in the winter but also help grow other field sports that have a presence in town - lacrosse, ultimate frisbee, flag football, etc. I know I'm missing a few others.
My wife and I will be donating ours to the SAH Foundation because that's where we feel that this money truly belongs—as an investment in health care to benefit all Ontarians—and not a political gimmick to buy votes.
Likely a poor prediction Frank, it's in the NDPs hands and they're pretty comfortable with their arrangement. They're not going to have this kind of deal in place with a Conservative government, so they're unlikely to give that up early than they have to. Next election will be Oct 2025 as scheduled.
