North Bay mayor suspended 60 days over expense violations

Inch gets 90 days for saying bad things and the Mayor gets 60 days for fraud and stealing. Get rid of Mayne, Bain, Mitchell and Horsfield; Gardiner already not running

Getting rid of something old and useless is a great idea. This logic should also be applied to our current council. October can't come fast enough.

This could take a very long time. The bridge repairs on hwy 11 northbound over Birches Rd. has been going on for 3 years and is still not finished. And who could forget the fiasco on the bridge work over the Lavase River at L'Amis garden center. This bridge has had years of attention with yearly work by the City & the Conservation Authority to control flooding and it is unbelievable this problem is now just being identified.

Vote to take over Castle Arms (a registered charity) because of no public oversight, yet give to the Ski Hill no questions asked.

Will this be a CREDIT CARD purchase

Clearly King & Maybe were kicked out to pave the way for the CassellArms takeover. When that happens who will be kicked out next - the Seniors.

A better question. Why are not the residents of Northern Pines cleaning the area; giving back to a caring and generous community?

The helmet is for his safety The loaded firearm affects the public's safety.Should be charged for the firearm.

Our food supply is threatened with the loss of farmland. The loss of farmland is threatened by the loss of labor. It is hard to get people to work all day in the fields for minimum wage. The only solution is to increase wages resulting in expensive produce or import produce from countries where labor is cheap. Large farms with high yield crops that can be harvested by machinery can still be profitable - not so much now with fuel, fertilizer, and shipping severely affecting the bottom line. More loss of farmland coming

Exactly, correct me if I am wrong but I do believe members of council get a raise yearly based on the CPI. A $30,000 increase is a 35% increase.

The motion will not see the light of day. Mendocino and the Mayor's group that make up the majority of the CasselHolme board do not to be questioned about their backroom plans to get the Cassell Arms assets. Case in point - when King & Mayne tried to question the Board at their last meeting they were voted off. Albeit the process was less stressful than being barred by 7 armed cops. Don't be surprised to see the cops at the next council meeting when this motion is presented.

Maybe Bay today should reach out to the 2 employees who resigned months before. The answers are probably related to why the mayor & Councilor resigned

Supervisors have leadership and expertise in governance, finance, and/or public accountability matters. Electing a Board is more about popularity than ability. The students ( the future) deserve better and the taxpayer can't afford waste. Time for a complete overhaul. Doing the same thing over & over and expecting a different result is not only insane it is not affordable.

The reduction has a lot to do with the illegal dumping you see everywhere. Just because it doesn't reach the landfill doesn't mean there is less.

What qualifies this person as an expert? I was an avid hunter for years trying to harvest the biggest buck. Searching the record books I discovered the biggest bucks came from States & Provinces that produced corn & grains. It is common knowledge that the bigger & healthier deer live on agriculture land. Feeding deer in the winter is beneficial to the survival of the herd.

So the best way to handle people who are breaking the law is t ignore them. Tell me why we have police. If they were panhandling in front of a business downtown it wouldn't last long. How about writing a ticket to the driver for dangerous driving if it is dangerous to slow or stop to give money. Working with partners does not mean let them do all the work.

Unbelievable. The Mayor has no knowledge of the sale and Mitchell is not commenting. Both are on the Conservation Authority. The only one commenting is Vresbosh who comments on everything and she rightfully wants a public report on the costs. I am sure there is support for a city run ski hill but with all the secrecy surrounding a possible purchase it will lower quickly.

So the police have money for technology to catch drivers doing wrong but no money for body cams that may catch them doing wrong.

If it ain't broke why fix it. Mediation can't work when one group has what another group wants. The legal route will take time and the Mayor's Group motive will be clear if CasselHolme comes in over budget.
