Ah yes , I’m sure all the residents will be lining up to pay 2700 per month at a new apartment building in Thunder Bay . There are massive incentives with our tax dollars to developers to build rental along with no rent control by the province .

Sometimes the universe just listens . I know the stress of a child with cancer and I send the family warm wishes .

Did you Kevin? Did you really hear positive feedback from community members ? Just finding that a bit incredulous considering there’s a protest outside your office for the complete opposite.

How are taxpayers subsidizing developers ??? The housing accelerator program grant is 20,000 to 30,000 per unit , the Apartment Construction Loan Program ( taxpayers pay the interest instead of the developer) , HST removal under the new Residental Property rebate program , GST new residential rebate program, just to name the ones I can think of. Theaes are incentives that either give direct grants or reduce costs which also mean less revenue to the province . So ask your self what you are getting in return … the chance to rent a 2700 perMonth apartment .
