Why are any folks from Sault 🇨🇦 traversing the border at all to a country that is repugnant on any possible measure. Says something about our population. And yes I understand traffic on bridge is not just Saultites
The Sault Airport Authority reported on its inability to keep runways free of ice as reported here on SooToday. Your own work was not reflected in this story and would have provided important context. As reported having an Ornge base does not guarantee a flight out. Patients are triaged as reported here. Our family discussed this very issue (weather and infrastructure) causing life threatening delays for patients needing transport. Ornge can’t control the weather and this intense week of weather combined with infrastructure challenges created a terrible situation for those needing life saving care. Hoping for a great outcome for this family
absolutely outraged the US flag still flies on the boardwalk...it can stay in the umbrella of nations - didn't know the US plaque was in City Hall..also outrageous. The tyrant in the White House has no regard for Canada nor do his supporters. In over 35 years here I never shopped in Sault Michigan because why would I not support Sault retailers. Northern Michigan in a hot bed of MAGA and that will never change. When you pretend the facists are going to change they have you...
Outrageous. This is how facism starts and it’s always a voice from the right. You (elected officials) are in your position to serve the people of Ontario not serve yourselves.
It’s admirable that Council has its heart in the right place on this issue. With a family member that was derostered the shortage of primary care hits home. I just hope that Council also appreciates that a funding model is required. Physician assistants can’t bill OHIP and thus to be part of a health care team a funding stream must be identified. Physicians willing to work collaboratively with the PA are obviously a part of the strategy.
So, the up to $400 million to convert to arc technology came from? Former Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and local MP Terry Sheehan and the Liberal government of Canada! Nice coattails there Mr Scott.
Back in the late 1980s and 1990s family physicians in the community were split approx 50-50 between those affiliated with the Algoma District Medical Group practicing at the GHC and those in private or fee-for-service practices. Both insured by OHIP. it could be that this initiative is the fee-for-service model although not confirmed in the article. Direct referral to SAH Diagnostic Imaging is certainly a new innovation. Referral to specialist physicians is not mentioned in the article unless I missed it.
The excuses for speeding and poor driving far exceed the excuses people give for missing work except the former can cost lives. Driving is a privilege not a human right. Set up the cameras and let the belly aching begin.
Given that provinces are responsible for the provision of healthcare a federal “ban” would carry no weight just be ignored by provinces unless tied to transfer payments - a strategy that is generally not well received by provinces (under statement)
Been living in SSM for 37 years and the pot holes are just a part of life. Slow down folks. The freeze thaw is inevitable and unfortunately also destructive.
