@ihaveanopinion - The people you’re referring to are already the most regulated and vetted group in the country. Licensed firearm owners in Canada go through background checks, safety training, continuous eligibility screening, and strict storage and transport laws. They’re, by definition, law-abiding.Fining or charging them for property that was legally acquired under previous laws doesn’t address criminal activity,it penalizes compliance. The individuals who pose a real public safety risk are the ones who never followed the rules in the first place, which means additional restrictions on licensed owners don’t meaningfully impact them.If the goal is public safety, the focus should be on illegal trafficking, smuggling, and repeat offenders not on people who have already demonstrated they follow the law.”
Hey everyone! Things have gotten so much better since Carney took over.Food is cheaper, houses are cheaper, gas, gas is so affordable... right?Right...?
So I can "voluntarily" submit a gun and "might" get compensated for it but if I dont "voluntarily" submit it, I'm then a criminal by October 2026. Because criminals apply and go through courses and background checks to aquire guns. Don't sign up, your gun doesnt exist. FTL. My guns are not for sale.
