If you vote for someone because of their party then no they should not cross the floor. If they want to cross the floor they should immediately lose their post within parliament and a new election held for that riding.
At that point in the war bullets and bombs were more important than cigarettes. The daily ration of toilet paper per Canadian soldier in WW2 was 3-4 sheets a day…. Other things just become more important when you’re fighting a war…. Cigarettes were important to the soldiers but the government had bigger things to supply.
