GRCA apologizes for destroying birdhouses along Elora Cataract Trailway

The GRCA has never been much of a conservation authority! They are now more of a developer friendly money making machine!

As a tenant, this place has been a gong show since the day they started. At first, no on site parking, forcing us to park miles away on crowded city streets. Then in a mud filled parking lot filled with garbage and no maintenance or snow removal. Finally, after about 9 months of complaints they finally put some lights around it so people weren't getting stuck or tripping in the pot holes. Unfortunate for the neighbors, who's yards and houses are lit up like the Fourth of July, from a parking lot that wasn't even supposed to be built! I don't know how much sleep I've lost with construction starting at 6:00 in the morning, or them dropping off equipment and supplies at 2 & 3 a.m. Come on West Peak! Get your act together!

Please don't run for Mayor Dan. We need someone who cares about our environment and not just another yes man for the developers!

Another gong show in the making!

You must be another developer looking for a cheap handout from the city. It was originally designated as parkland so leave it that way! We are far to short of parks in this crazy city of urban sprawl!

We already have no parking at West Peak condos and limited parking at the apartments on Paisley, so why does the city allow this parking curtailment? Where can we park now?

Guelph is very top heavy with employees. Their snow removal services are pathetic and the man in charge doesn't know what he is talking about! Late Thursday afternoon all the city streets were still treacherous with black ice, long after the main snow fall had ended. If you don't want to spend the money from your budget just say so!

Why not get some of these bylaw officers to go in there and clean the mess up! Gives them something to do instead of just driving around in fancy new vehicles all day.

We only need 1/2 the city employees we now have, to get the same job done! Just look at the condition of the city streets this winter. Why we have that many city employees and they get paid that much money is beyond me?

It went to the speed camera owners down in Alabama!

This designation is a joke. The only buildings downtown worthy of any heritage value are the old stone churches with the rest of the area one step up from a garbage dump! Decaying and decrepit old buildings that are falling apart because no one has maintained them and a large population of mostly lazy vagrants that hang around for a free meal. I never go down there and feel now that I never will because with this agenda, nothing will change. A crown jewel? This person needs their head examined!

Go back to the drawing board with this one. The area is not even close to where the two rivers meet!

What a ridiculous idea for the city to offer! Lining more rich developers pockets! When will this council come to their senses and stop wasting our hard earned tax dollars?
Another dumb idea from a city council that loves to spend our tax payers money freely! Developers love this council!
