I agree. This has nothing to do with the city. The tour train/Watco is a private company. They looked and said we can continue to pay rent to Mr. Porco or we can move the terminal to the railyard which they own and don't have to pay rent and take the money they were paying for rent and invest into a terminal on their own property.

This doesn't have anything to do with city council. This is the city itself

Check out Norway. 97% of the vehicles sold there are electric and most of their population lives further north than we do. They have longer colder winters.

I think you may be in for a big surprise. I think you will find out a lot more want this than don't

They also don't have to pay rent. I am sure rent at the station at the canal was not cheap.

People need to do more research. Take a look at Norway. 96% of all new vehicles sold in Norway are electric. The majority of the population of Norway lives further north than those in Canada thus they have colder and longer winters. They don't have issues with cars catching fire. They don't have issues with their vehicles in the winter.

I noticed that when they gave the money to Porco they did not say the Tour Train was included in the agreement. So even though they had an agreement with Porco they didn't have one with Watco.

I was referring to Canada Pist

How does the fact that a private business make a decision to move their business to a new location have anything to do with the leasor. Especially when they didn't include him in the decision. If anything it is the government's fault for not insuring Watco was involved in the process that got Proco the money.

This is simply a business decision. How was it costing per year to have the depot at the canal. Wayco decided to move it to property they own. 0 rent. So now they can take the money they were paying Porco for rent and invest it into their own property.

Time to get rid of Dean.

It's a private company. They can't force them to sell.

Great idea. The only thing I would like to know more about is maintenance. Whst would the costs involved be? It doesn't make sense if maintenance is higher than the revenue being generated.

Look at Tenaris. They are making good money. No union
