36While I love the fact that OM and its parent company Village Media., provides a fair share of local coverage I have noted its left wing leaning bias. In fact, so have others. In fact two media watch dogs , Ground News and Media Bias Fact Check rate it as "left leaning". As well as in the news reported, this is played out in their "moderation" of people who might not support their political views. This bias creates a distorted view in the comments section as well.

OrilliaMatters 8Orillia has twice the rate of homeless people per capital compared to Barrie. I have talked to at least. half a dozen who came to Orilla from other places. The Lighthouse is a wonderful facility that attracts people to it. My guess is that the suspected killer was attracted to The Lighthouse but never made it inside formally due to a variety of reasons.
