This surge in demand can result in higher electricity rates for residents. Massive Water Consumption: Data centres use large quantities of water for cooling their servers. This demand can strain local water resources, especially in areas already facing water scarcity. Lack of Meaningful Job Creation: Despite promises of job creation, data centres often do not deliver significant employment opportunities for local communities. Many jobs created are temporary or low-paying, failing to provide substantial economic benefits. There is also environmental impact, but not enough space to put it all.
