BREAKING: Premier Doug Ford to call snap election next week, sources say

Oh Douglas, Douglas, Douglas.... how far you have drifted from reality. Time to step aside and hopefully let someone else fix some of the incredibly stupid things you have wrought onto Ontario. Perhaps you could go grovel at Pee-Pee's feet? If this sounds flippant, it's because that's the level you work at.

Is this a joke? Ms. Dunlop has abandoned her riding, not replying to inquiries, not supporting common sense decisions about protecting our natural environment. She seems to be content being arm-candy for the "Premier of Toronto". Acclaimed? By who? Not the people of Simcoe North.

Money is power. To approve such a controversial project, on the shore of Lake Simcoe, in a long time quiet residential community, is a sign of how bad the situation has become. Because Doug Ford's Conservative government has trampled environmental protections and considerations in favour of money-making developments, the end loss will be felt by everyone. Shameful, but they don't care a wit.

"terrorizing residents"?? Sounds like the bird-killing cats and off leash dogs are the ones that need to be wary.

And so it begins... the same gas-lighting technique used by Trump: Call out your weaknesses first but place it on the shoulders of your opponent. Let the Liberals react while showman Poilievre goes into his next outrageous act of disinformation. While Trump fiasco is an American sham, we Canadians are about to undergo the same playbook.

I re-read this article, and again am further appalled at the arrogant attitude of Mini-me Trump Poilievre. That final paragraph where he wants to have all the recordings given to his team so that it can be distributed "the right way"?! Pompous jerk falls far short of what he truly is.

"environmental stewardship"?? LIV Communities have proven they have NO idea what that means. The density proposed is insane. But, unfortunately, they will probably get their way thanks to the pitiful Doug Ford Conservative government and their "build faster anywhere" fascination of land mismanagement. Not accepting questions is a pitiful and sad method of avoiding input from community members.

Indeed. Asking Simcoe North MPP Jill Dunlop for assistance is a lost cause.

I, and others, will be very interested to know what reply if any comes from MPP Dunlop. Her rural roots seem to be severed.

Nice to hear that the coyotes are doing what people should be doing... putting the run on Doug Ford! Go yotes go!

She wouldn't talk to “regular media that was going to twist what I say and not allow the truth to come out.” ? Can you say wacko paranoid? The truth is that we live in a country that provides incredible protection and care for we the people from diseases and viruses. If some people prefer to ignore good advice and get sick and die, then they should crawl under their favorite rock and stay there!

Too bad Garfield's knowledgeable, friendly, and available advice didn't transfer over to his daughter Jill.

Ford is as wacky as Trump! Distracting us with jokes like this while he undermines the sanctity of Ontario for his personal gain (e.g. selling a Provincial Park to a developer). He does NOT represent the people of Ontario, he is scamming from the people of Ontario!

Any support to the so-called "Freedom Convoy" should be disciplined. Maybe a good thing this place is now closed.

It is a good and honest documentary. The Ford bros are bad news, start to finish.

Right on, Wendy! This government is just coasting from one bad idea to another! It's as if they are saying, "Drink more beer! Load up on pot! Drive Faster! Reduce population!".

Three million dollars for a boat? C'mon, there must be 101 other good things that the same money could go towards.

Freedom Convoy losers hijacked the national flag as their rally emblem. Unforgivable. Thankfully they have crawled back under their rock and we the people can fly our flag as it was meant to be.

Unfortunately this situation will only get worse for Bass Lake... just look at the residential sprawl that is creeping over the hill to the south-east! All those rapidly built homes will have hard surface runoff going into the stream that feeds directly into Bass Lake. The small wetland that's there will not be able to handle this kind of flushing.
