Just because all of his stupidity isn't on tape, like Billy Bush, doesn't mean that it isn't true. "Grab ’em by the cat” He has shown his colours (beyond orange) over and over... including the insurrection, which is highly documented, not a lie. He lies and exaggerates, on record, every times he is given a mic. Why you and others are willing to overlook his everyday, documented behavior is a mystery to me.
The last 2 elections have been the Conservatives to win, they p00ped the bed with Andrew Scheer followed by Erin O'Toole and they have done so again with Pierre Poilievre. Unbelievable.
Ms. Dunlop is Minister of Emergency Preparedness and Response of Ontario she should have more resources and clout than a lineman.. and they don't use duct tape. She should do her job politically, not climb poles... what a foolish comment.
definitely trying to buy Canadian, where anything North American felt local enough before. Last night's quick hardware run was to Home Hardware instead of Home Depot. Baby steps, but I cancelled Netflix & Disney + streaming services early this week, when prompted for a reason after selecting 'Other', I entered that I am "trying to purchase less American services & products"maybe I am off-base, maybe these examples don't matter... but I do feel like I am trying. :)
Orillia absolutely needs to pursue paid parking for non-residents. As pointed out, all of the surrounding townships are paid for non-residents. As an Orillia resident, if I can't park along side Bass Lake, why would an Oro-Medonte resident be parking free at Couchiching Park? I would MUCH rather the neighboring townships remove these restrictions... but if you can't beat them, joining them is the only option.Fallis, either convince Severn and Oro to stop restricting access to a public assets or get your head out of the sand.
@DW, funny... I would NOT take a lifetime politician over an experienced, real-world banker.I think we could do with less lifetime politicians and more practical experience folks in charge.(and if he won, he would be an elected official, I think we can drop this 'unelected' B$, that will be resolved soon enough)
An $8.25 license plate search fee (which is ludicrous, if it cost more than $0.01 to look up a registered plate) A $20 per ticket fee goes to the program administrator. The annual operating costs of just under $200,000 to lease the cameras, and the city retains the remaining revenue. So $20 x 2000 (monthly average) x 12 months = $480,000 + $200,000 camera lease. $680,000 to the administrators... not the city, not OPP, not even the province.I have said since day one this is a cash grab... the saddest part is that the winners are not the province, police or even the city. It is whoever told council this was free, easy money.
like JDR55 says.. these comments largely drive anti-teacher views.Life needs to go on when TWN announces we might get a few inches of snow. Everyone heading to Hardwood Hills today is expecting the staff to muck it up and show up. When I pop out for my meds this morning I expect the pharmacist to muck it up and show up. Will you really shut down and go nowhere and do nothing today because of the forecast or will you also expect folks to show up and do their jobs?
Simple... blind, mindless Progressive Conservative support since the Simcoe North was established as a provincial riding in 1996. It's never been anything else. This reflects it's elderly, conservative and close-minded population....but you watch the OM comments, you already knew this. ;)
ummm, people with nowhere to legally park, did ya read the article? "He says many residents don't have enough space in their driveway to accommodate their vehicles." Sounds less irksome and expensive than an a $50 ticket every morning.
