Accepting money to investigate a policy that you disagree with smacks of journalistic bias. Anti-Ford readers will jump on board and then demand a negative outcome for the Government. INDEPENDENT JOURNALISTS MUST SAY NO TO THIS.

It is not the responsibility of the media to create news. Politicians are allowed a private life. Perhaps we should require people in the media to disclose their personal relationship to elected officials at all levels of government to ensure no bias in their reporting.

CUPW has failed to provide leadership to provide their members with a road to the future of mail delivery in Canada. Door to door delivery is yesterday. Accept reality. Maximize what you are still able to have input into future government decisions.

It is paramount that young people learn to obey the rules. As you grow older you will believe that the rules that are now provincial or federal laws shall be violated without a penalty. Our current society fails our children to understand that there are restrictions that you must obey.. Responsibility resides with parents to set your child on a path of responsibility.

This is a waste of Orillia's scarce taxpayer dollars. Do we not have staff that could do this analysis without hiring an outside consulting firm? Please tell me that our employees have the requisite knowledge and skills to research this and report to Council.

Downtown Orillia is no longer the Orillia Business District. West Orillia offers the goods and services that shoppers are seeking. City Council must accept reality. Rethink Missisauga Street as low rental housing or, services for drug addicts, people living with disabilities and housing for the homeless. Seek subsidies from other levels of government to reinvent old Downtown for its current reality.

We must protect society from Repeat Offenders; people on probation after having been found guilty of a crime and allegedly commit a crime. First offenders of an indictable offense should be required to convince a justice of the reasonableness of being released. If the system errors, the person has a right to legal recourse.

The conservative government is trying desperately to undo the frivolous spending of a liberal debacle. Liberals spend to buy votes from the marginal positions. It is of paramount importance to understand that , ONLY the private sector pays into the CRF (consolidated revenue fund). Government paid employees recycle tax dollars from the private sector and do not pay anything to the cost of operating the Provincial budget.
