Mismanagement from the Liberal Party for the last 10 years and all the liberals voted Carney in who was Trudeau’s number one Advisor. Not one person who voted for Carney should complain about the cost of food.

If they had of been implemented only in school zones and only during school hours I don’t think there would have been as many complaints. City’s were greedy and ran the cameras 7 days a week/ 24 hours a day, hence the cash grab. I agree with Mr Ford. Work to work Ford! ! !

Oh hum bug! It is Halloween! 🎃 it is constructed for 3 months of the year. That pirate ship looks much better than the god awful Christmas tree that was in the Orillia City Centre last year! It is very disheartening honestly what direction this world is going in. Happy Halloween!👻

Councillor’s interested can gladly have the money directly withdrawn from their pay cheques to donate to the cause but please keep tax payers ( voluntary donation or not) out of it.

Reservation at a restaurant is NOT an event. When OPP advise to stay home and avoid unnecessary travel, an establishment if they choose not to offer a refund they definitely should offer the customer a different date. If you don’t want your new venture to end up like your “sunken ship tropical bar” you may want to change your policy. Customers, reviews and word of mouth pay your bills and fill your seats. The way you chose to handle this situation has probably cost you more lost revenue than this one reservation.

You go Ford! Atleast he didn’t just watch and pull out his phone and video tape it like most daisy’s. Ford actually did something!

Marchmont on top locally… wow. D+ is the best Orillia and local area schools can achieve. I am sorry Teachers have to hold a certain amount of responsibility for a D+.

Orillia did not solve the problem, the problem just moved to surrounding residential streets. You shut down the left hand and moved it to the right hand. Will not miss the speed cameras!!!!

I guess there many parents forced to stay at home and miss work today due to schools closing their doors and no staff on site.

Why do we not place a tent community for the homeless in the City of Orillia parking lot and see how long the encampment lasts? They city councillors and staff will have no issues walking around garbage, discarded furniture, drug paraphernalia, fires, yelling, and being asked for change everyday on their way into the office.

The article states seniors can complete all their assessments at one location. There is absolutely nothing wrong with that. Why have a senior let alone any age person drive all over town to different locations when you can complete everything conveniently at one location.

Pretty sad! What has happened to 🇨🇦 Canada? Unable to have a giant ice rink built in back yard for adults and children to enjoy in the winter. So much for being a hockey town. In the summer when people have kids and adults swimming and yelling in giant back yard pools that take up the majority of their yard …. No issues!! Imagine growing up and your dad built this in your back yard when you were young? It would have been amazing!!!! All the kids in the neighborhood would love it!! People, neighbours, council and the city really need to stay out of other peoples business especially when they are causing no harm. Everything going on in this country now and this is what the city chooses to enforce?I am going to hate to see what this county looks like even 10 years from now. 😱

You chose to shut down, you are refusing to pay the fee. Pay the fee if you want to continue your business. There are 365 days in a year even if you rent half of those days or less. It is your choice to charge $125 per night. You could always charge more at peak times. Weekends, summer, special events, folk festival, Scottish festival..etc. Charge less in the off season. Everyone else does it and it would off set the cost of the fee. Over a course of a year you should be able to afford the fee and if you are unable then you maybe need to re-evaluate your business strategy. As it is a business. Good luck.

I don’t always agree with the bus cancellations, the roads are great but with the wind chill it would have been pretty cold for kids to be waiting outside for the buses this morning. Same with the kids walking to school. Yes kids should bundle up for the cold but honestly only ones bundling up are kids under age 12. 🥶
