The anti vax movement continues to mystify me. I'm old enough to remember two kids in my neighbourhood who had polio. Measles and whooping cough were also extremely dangerous. My parents were thrilled when the schools administered vaccines so that the whole neighbourhood was safe.
I attribute the spread of Elbows Up rallies to the recently retired NDP MP Charlie Angus who is promoting them across Canada. These are non-partisan events. Some of you wish it was partisan so that it can be criticized. This was not a Liberal event. Terry Sheehan chose to go. Hugh Stevenson could have chosen to go.
That brings to mind why non-university educated white voters are Trump's biggest base. Critical thinking needs to be taught in all U.S. high schools (and Canadian) to create a better functioning democracy.
I am disappointed in people who are anti-vaxers when the dangers of these viruses are so clear. Being anti can be a mindset. Shake it off. Look what's happened to the Americans.
I find we often do not get follow ups to these stories. Can't the reporters do this? If the OPP or the Ministry don't want to release information, then why not? I want to know if charges are laid. There are just too many bad truckers on the road. Granted, we don't know what happened here.
What purpose does this survey serve?I don't believe any arm chair critic has the qualifications or detailed information to form an opinion. Is SooToday trying to turn readers into DOGE?
A confident young woman posing for a shoot may enjoy the temporary celebrity. However, we all change over time. What the Toronto Sun is doing may be legal, but it's unethical.
I'm sure you will be the first to step up to the plate and run in the next municipal election. All the decisions that must be made are so clear and easy from an arm chair.
I agree with much of Ford is doing but he needs to shut up about cutting off electricity to some states. That would be a direct threat to U.S. security and could spark an actual military action.
Canada First, my conservative friend, is as misguided as America First. Canada has succeeded as a free trade country. Carney is building stronger ties to our other trading partners, especially Europe.
Northern Snow has rescinded the snow limits and notified customers that they were refunding the one-time surcharge. As a customer for years, I have been happy with their service - especially this winter. The one time charge didn't bother me since I had commented just the day before, to a neighbour, that they must be losing money as this snow continues. Now, how have contracts with other snow services fared? Let's see some fair reporting.
Each of the four candidates would make a good cabinet minister. Only two of them appear prime ministerial, in my opinion. The race should be between Bayliss and Carney. Both of them have strong business and economic skills to take us through the Trump years. PP has neither of these.
