The photo shown is last years structure and looks great. Seems to be about 20 feet long and 6 to 8 Ft. high. I drove by the new structure and it looks to be over 40 Ft. long and about 16 Ft high. Over two and one half times bigger. Can hardly see the house behind it. Everyone should have a look before signing any petitions.

West RIdge is where all our new growth is happening. By the time we see a new hospital built it will have a large population and better access from all other areas of our city. Coldwater Road and the bypass are already stop and go traffic. I wouldn't want to be in an ambulance in twenty or thirty years trying to get from the bypass to the downtown. Hope we have drone ambulances by then.

I can only support one direction for the Champlain Monument. BRING IT BACK THE WAY IT WAS. Any other direction does not get my support. Do not waste any of my tax dollars on any other made up solutions. If it cant be reinstalled in it's original condition then just destroy it and put it to rest.

By the time the new hospital is built there won't be any veterans left alive. Save the veteran statues and monuments and reinstall them in the new building to honour our vets. Time to quit celebrating the war. Hopefully the next 60 years are peacfull and we can celebrate new generations of peacefull leadership.

Thank you Mayor and Council for taking this step forward.

Canada is one of the largest countries in the world at 3,855,100 square miles with a population density of around 12 people per sq. miles. The per capita emissions are one of the lowest in the world. Countries like China, The U.K. and Switzerland, Denmark and France produce 10 to 20 times more polution per sq. mile than Canada. As one of the cleanest countries in the world we need to quit punishing ourselves with climate taxes. Time to give Canadians a break.

I don't care what part of the city a counciler lives in. I just want to vote for the best person that lives in Orillia and is interested in working for the whole city. Scrap the ward system.

Thanks Mel St. Onge for your leadership on this issue. Without your continued effort Orillian's would have lost access to this part of our waterfront. It's hard to push a wheelchair over the small train tracks and field.

Orillia has over 80 emplyees working at city hall, many making over $200.000 a year. Do we really need to add more staff to run the city. Surely there are some capable staff to manage things without adding more staff and expenses. We need to reduce overheads , not increase them. I'm dissapointed in many councilers that don't seem to understand that.

It looked to me like Teneycke was inebriated when he was interviewed. Why would anyone care what the opinion of a fowl mouth like him matter. Correct me if i'm wrong.

Can't win on this issue. The cost of collecting parking fees are always more than revenue. Filling the waterfront with visitors and free parking means we are a sharing community. Not a bad reputation to have.

Glad to see Michael staying on the board. He's been a huge asset to the Downtown.

I'm getting old now but when I was young the town did not have sidewalk plows. Everyone would shovel the walkway in front of their own house or we would walk on the road. Going to school was five blocks uphill and sometimes walking on the snowbanks. Also walked home for lunch every day. Fun times and never a problem.

Way to go Collingwood. You made the news. Wonder who will come up with the best tree lighting next year. Will it be Midland, Barrie or Gravenhurst? No matter. Orillia will always be No. 1 in Tree Lighting Bloopers.
