Disgraceful. Some people have nothing better to do than to stick their nose in others business!! All she did for these many years was to help people. We have donated and purchased from her a couple of times. She should be grandfathered in some way to allow her to continue this generous practise. I hope the rat who made the call, feels justified in the end result.

I’m sure there are many others who share my opinion that whoever did that should be put in the same situation with the lid nailed shut!

GET A GRIP!! In all seriousness, do you have any idea how much this is going to decimate some families? People living paycheque to paycheque now. The least you could do is buy us dinner and ply us with alcohol before ..... You can try and get the arrears I will be owing from my estate. Where are the villagers with forks and torch? Your time in office cannot come soon enough.

You know where the dogs live. You have seen them endanger people - more than once. I believe there are laws regarding dogs on the loose and being aggressive. What are you waiting for, some little kid to be mauled to pieces or death!?

I’m sure every car thief is shaking in fear and thinking about a new career right this minute. How about applying that to drunk, stunt and dangerous drivers. Why not take it one step further and instead of the slap on the wrist impounding the vehicle for fourteen days, take the car and either sell it or crush it.

How is that fair? Thursdays only? How about seniors everyday between 9-2 when they would do most of their appointments, when there is no crush of students or business people using transit.

Accident, tragedy waiting to happen. Prime example of who should NOT own a dog.

I agree with your statement Jeff Samson ….. BUT as we have all witnessed on numerous occasions, city council already has their minds made up and they really don’t care what you have to say. I will guarantee you that each and everyone of them grew up enjoying a fireworks display at some point of their life. What’s next? B.B.Q.’s because some vegan is offended by the smell of cooking meat? The election for a new council can’t come quick enough.

They couldn’t very well mail them their pink slips could they?

Maybe we should have done the same thing with the old library location 🤔

Some people treat their pets like fashion accessories or means to bolster their “inadequacies” in other parts of their life. Instead of treating the poor thing that had no say in who their owner is like a part of the family.

That’s just it! They all sit in their comfy ivory tower as their lives are not going to be impacted by this egregious decision. No conscience, no shame, no empathy for what is about to befall the people who - foolishly - entrusted them to run their community, not ruin it and their lives. Oh what a delight it would be if the shoe was on the other foot, where they had to worry about paying the mortgage, car payment or health care! There is a special place for this council and it’s not here. Shame and disgust are not strong enough words to apply to this council. You have the ability to make better decisions regarding the taxpayers and you choose to ignore them! Your “let them eat cake” mentality is an abomination and proves your holier than thou perception of yourself.

This did not just come up. Seeing as you have to apply, usually a year before, to programs prior to getting your acceptance, the U/G was well aware of the forth coming shortfall in accommodations for first year students. And if they didn't, then somebody is doing a lousy job. But they took their money anyway and more or less turned their ( the U/G ) back on the students and their families. What a scam! Maybe they should set up an encampment with trailers and small huts in the parking lots. The U/G seems to be ok with that.

The bottom line is the government is making scads of money from us, the taxpayers. What they pay their employees is a pitance to what they reap from their markups. Why are we so intent on making sure nobody gets ahead in life? If this action hadn’t happened, they would still be getting paid what they were prior to public knowledge. Would you be bitching about it then? Or still going to get your bottle of hooch and not giving a R/A about the person serving you? Sure there are people making more than others but that isn’t the fault of those employees and so they shouldn’t be chastised for trying to keep their heads above water.

It’s not the city’s property to say what to do with it. Don’t they have more important things to spend our tax money on?

After almost being torn apart by two dogs years ago, the vision of those snapping, frothing jaws didn’t leave me for a long, long time. Leash, muzzle or owner assurance won’t change the fear and anxiety people have over an aggressive dog. And does it make it any more acceptable if you get bit or a child gets mauled by just saying that my dog has never done that before?

Money talks. And Skyline has lots.

I’m sure the fear of a lawsuit after non-action by By-law and GHS might have played a part in it also.

Funny, well not really, how the city has no problem bullying the taxpayers of this city with exuberant - as is obvious with my latest property tax notice - but they refuse to deal with the U/G! Sure I feel sorry for all the people who were fleeced, and that is exactly what it was, I mean face it, the U/G knew exactly what they were doing and THEY DIDN”T CARE. Give us your $10K tuition and I’m sure you can find a cardboard box to share over by the dumpster. GROW A PAIR Cam!!! Let’s see them take all that booty and apply it to Homecoming, St. Patricks costs that the taxpayers are FORCED to cover. SMFH !!

On further reflection; when, not if, someone is injured by these carousing canines and it is now known that animal control/bylaw did nothing to suppress these beasts, who's on the hook for the lawsuit?
