In both cases you've got a self-centred, egotistical, narcissistic man-baby; a grown man with a lot of power, but the temperment of a spoiled child. Trump, like Henry, is a thin-skinned bully who "loves to dish it out, but can't take it." In both cases you have an individual who demands absolute loyalty but does not reciprocate that loyalty. You can serve him for years, do his bidding as his right-hand man, but as soon as he thinks you have failed him in something or crossed him in some way - even if it's only in his own mind - he'll turn on you. The big difference between them is that Henry actually was a king. Trump just wants to be one.

Like Trump, Henry was a child-man; a narcissistic adult with a lot of power but the temperament of a spoiled brat in the body of a nasty old man. You had to be on your toes around him, because his moods were mercurial. He demanded absolute loyalty, but even if you had been his right-hand man for years, if you failed him once or if he even thought you had crossed him in any way, it could cost you your head. One big difference between Henry and Trump: Henry VIII actually was a king; Trump only wishes he were a king.
