is it really providing the residents with information if you can't really know for sure anything you see on that site is true?

I think Doug Ford is wrong on this one. Why bother having councillors if we are going to take away their input and let the mayor's have all the power. I personally see somewhat of what Trump is instigating in the USA, don't like it, don't agree with it!

Mr. Lee I am very sorry you and your family are having to go through this misfortune. Hopefully you will get a satisfactory explanation.

Well I guess we can thank all those people who voted for the conservatives in the last provincial election.

Wasn't Poilievre seen wearing a Trump hat around the time of the trucker's convoy?

This move by Ford to call an election now is strictly a selfish move on his part, in my opinion. When he should be concentrating along with other premiers & the prime minister to deal with Trump, the diabolical menace who is now President in the USA, Ford decides while he has a fair amount of popularity to take advantage and make sure he has another four years running things in Ontario. I hope this backfires on him, I definitely won't be voting for him. M. Rolland

I was once told by someone who was on council a long time ag, that if the municipality does not collect development charges from the developer it has to come from somewhere and it is indeed tacked on to the taxpayer's taxes. Don't know if this is still the case.

I am very disappointed that city council have not taken this problem serious or if they have they have seemed to keep it to themselves, there is only so much an organization can do on there own with good hearted volunteers. If this organization has to shut down it will be a shame with what the citizens will face. Please I know council is busy with municipal problems but don’t let this problem be added to it. You know if politicians were ever really interested in giving everyone a say they would work harder to be open and above board. Instead of having to control the whole situation and come off looking biased and not seeming to care what the public thinks.

Ha Ha, we got 2 tickets for going above the speed limit so far, live with it and adjust your driving habits.

Good on Joe Biden for passing the torch, very difficult for a politician to have to make that decision, I am sure. Personally, I think Kamala Harris will be a very good, methodical, caring, forward thinking, honest, President. None of those adjectives fit Trump, diabolical menace comes to mind for Trump. I have known other politicians who also cannot get past thinking of themselves first and foremost, if you notice all the things Trump attributes and blames other people for are all things that suit him perfectly. Just my personal opinion.

What an absolutely horrible & devastating heartbreak for everyone directly & indirectly involved and a very sad and terrible event for all of Orillia. Hopefully the businesses can recover and start again and the people who lost their homes find another place to live. Thankfully, from what I have heard no one involved was hurt. But that beautiful old building is gone forever! Definitely a heartbreak for all of us.

Oh No! So sad, I am sorry to hear this, I go there to get seeds for the birds. Wow I am at a loss for words.

Congrats, this may help to allow people not to have to get rid of their pets because they can't afford to go to a Vet when the pet becomes ill. I am sure you will be very much appreciated!
