Haha. These are the same people that supported Trudeau's martial law.

This is why people don't want to rent out their houses, which leads to higher rent prices. No protection for landlords.

No, it has nothing to do with alcohol. Circle K operates in other cities. Why is Thunder Bay the worst? When you invite criminals to the city and offer to house them, feed them and help them do drugs, it'll only get worse. Add to the fact that if the criminal assaults a police officer and the officer defends himself, the officer may get disciplined. Start putting people in jail for theft.

The government's job is not to help people get high.

Five full time high paying jobs to take care of 80 people. When will the madness stop?

Good choice. The few times that I went in there, there was always at least one crackhead sleeping in the corner.

So, downtown Fort William and a downtown Fort William tourist area? SMH. I just drove by the Kam River site a few days ago. It's a garbage dump.

I still wouldn't trust anyone on council to not screww this up.

Way to go Doug. It's about time we stopped this craziness.

Democracy? If you were a Canadian during covid and you were against Trudeau, you could get your bank account frozen.

And what happens if they don't follow the rules?

Prison isn't paid for by the Thunder Bay citizens. It's a provincial or federal cost. Secondly, when you break the law, you go to prison, whether you're wealthy or poor. And prison is cheaper than a $5 million tent city for 80 people.

So the home owners, including the retired and elderly, would get another tax hike, on top of the annual increase? Thanks for nothing.

Rock, the Emergencies Act was enacted by Justin and supported by Singh. This martial law act was created so that a Canadian dictator (or king) could not revoke Canadian citizens constitutional rights. It replaced the War Measures Act, which was akso martial law, and was enacted by his father Pierre. As much as people hate Trump, and I'm one of them, he has not invoked martial law on all American citizens.

Considering Trump wants Carney to win, will "Talk" to him after the election, one has to wonder how much Trump and Musk are contributing to the campaign and what kind of sellout deal Carney made with them. Carney's family already lives in New York, he got the investment firm to move their offices from Toronto to New York. Maybe Musk will be in charge of helping Carney cut waste in Canada. After all, Musk has Canadian citizenship.

Carney has it wrapped up with Trump and Musk supporting him.

Why would someone spend millions and millions to build brand new apartments, only to get a few hundred $ in rent each month? Would you Dave3?

Let's bring more homeless drug addicts to Thunder Bay.

For starters, once the wine and beers go private, you can lay off half of the LCBO workers. Next, privatize the spirits, leaving just LCBO distribution workers. It's funny when most people here complain about grocery and gasoline monopolies, and how they make record profits. But OPSEU has a monopoly with the LCBO, which makes record profits. And they want to keep it that way, as long as they get their cut.

Get the NDP to fix it? The NDP is the reason Trudeau got away with everything that he did.
