This martial law act was created so that a Canadian dictator (or king) could not revoke Canadian citizens constitutional rights. It replaced the War Measures Act, which was akso martial law, and was enacted by his father Pierre. As much as people hate Trump, and I'm one of them, he has not invoked martial law on all American citizens.
